Apple should set up a "Return policy". Make it so within the first 24 hours if you decide you don't like the app, you can "return it" (It would delete and remove your licence from Apple's servers) and the developer wouldn't need to know. They probably don't send checks to the devs until once a month anyway. Just make it so it only counts a sale 24 hours after it's done. Maybe restrict it to cheap less than $10 apps. (Or $5 if you have to)NYR said:Ugh. My first iPad app purchase regret.
Geometry Wars for iPad sucks. So hard to control. I want my dollar back.
that's alot of time. Google revised their return policy to 15mins window.Jasoco said:Apple should set up a "Return policy". Make it so within the first 24 hours if you decide you don't like the app, you can "return it"
Well, as long as there's a window of time where you can buy the app, try it out enough and make a decision.bathala said:that's alot of time. Google revised their return policy to 15mins window.
my first regret was 2 ipad apps costing $15 and $6. Apple refunded my money after I emailed them
Yeah, I timed loading times of a bunch of webpages on my iPhone and old iPad 1 after 4.3 hit and page loading was basically identical between icab and safari... Except for the pages where icab was a few seconds faster because of ad blocking. I guess I just don't visit super js heavy pages.-Pyromaniac- said:So I'm trying out the free version of the Atomic browser and damn i was surprised that in my tests I rendered pages in around the same amount of time for the most part, with some being a tad slower and some a tad faster. I just assumed safari would be faster because of the 4.3 update.

I've had mine since the 15th and it's still there. Can't say I buy the drying glue story for bleeding. Haven't had the yellow spots though, the closest thing to that is just that the screen is set to a warmer color temperature than the old one.Phoenix4 said:Did the "backlight bleeding/glue problems" on anyone's iPad 2 went away yet?
I bought a 16gb at the European launch last friday and it suffers from yellow backlighting bleeding. Only visible at full brightness with a dark background but when i spend 500 euro i'd like to get a flawless piece of hardware.
I know backlight bleeding won't go away, but i went to the nearest APR and they said the first batch of new iPads suffers from the same 'glue problems' as the iPhone4 (with bleeding spots caused by the fact that glue hasn't dried yet). Probably discussed over and over before in this thread but couldn't find any discussion about while skimming the last few pages.
I'd guess slim cause it's considered a different model and you didn't buy it there. Like they'd probably have to run it as a returned purchase rather than warranty exchange, and they can't really do that if you never purchased it there. No harm in trying though.i_am_not_jon_ames said:I also have the backlight bleeding issue. A clearly yellow spot to the right of the home button.
I can exchange a Best Buy bought iPad at the Apple store, correct? Further, what are the chances they'll let me exchange a black for a white? Slim?
When I took my Ipad2, purchased at Best Buy, in to the Apple store, they returned it and did it like a new purchase and even gave me a new receipt for the new ipad. I didn't even have to show them my best buy receipt.japtor said:I've had mine since the 15th and it's still there. Can't say I buy the drying glue story for bleeding. Thanks. I purchased Noteshelf last night and I love it. I go to a lot of meetings so I have to take a lot of notes and this seems perfect for it.Jax said:No.
hence my noteshelf recommendation. The base templates for various uses are also really good.
I think penultimate is quite disappointing and once i got into noteshelf, I never looked back

So worth it though. I seriously feel like not even using my main computer when I'm at home 90% of the time.Neuromancer said:Those lazy assholes at Apple are finally shipping mine, the one I ordered on day one.

1- How is it supposed to keep my screen clean?
2- The cover leaves "thumb-like" marks on my screen at the places where it folds. The screen looks even worse than regular fingerprints. Anyone else has this?

Also anyone know how to save a homepage on Atomic? I read a FAQ and it said to click the "+" button and the option should be there but I'm not seeing it.
No, I want to make a page my homepage not add a bookmark...the faq says it's an option in the + menu but I don't see it there.Jax said:?
Top bar. Plus.
Add as bookmark. First option.

Oh I didn't know it wasn't available in the free version. That's kind of a random thing to exclusively put in the paid app, lol. Guess I'll get the full eventually.Jax said:@ pyro. Plus second option. Set as homepage?
I don't get it. You using atomic free?? Is that why?
hyp said:some peeps on here fold the cover into a triangle and clean it squeegee style. i personally just use a microfiber cloth.

Yep, around there but I'm pretty content with the lite for now and there is a shit ton of other stuff I need to get. These dollars add up!Jax said:Isn't atomic browser a dollar?
Out of curiosity, can the cover itself be cleaned? Micro cloths remove oils, but themselves need to be washed to reset their ability to clean.Tobor said:Indeed. It's really awesome. I haven't bothered with a microfiber cloth since somebody brought this up.
It's a squeegee, it's a cover, it's a stand! <3
Maklershed said:Ok so I thought I'd be good with just the smartcover but I'm feeling very nervous about the entirety of the iPad being "unprotected" so I was thinking about a neoprane case. Does anyone have this one and how is it? Any other recommendations?
Thanks, good site!bob page said:Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally settled on a domain for my wallpaper site. Have fun!

Anyone else's this bad? (Please excuse poor picture quality, but you can still see the light around the edges).
Thanks, if anyone has anyone has any high quality ones, feel free to submit them and I'll put them up.biggyfries said:Thanks, good site!
Grabbed This. Would be kickass if it was green like the older cards/boards (not your fault).
This is why i actually stopped using it squeegee style.mrkgoo said:Out of curiosity, can the cover itself be cleaned? Micro cloths remove oils, but themselves need to be washed to reset their ability to clean.

I have a bit of light leak on the bottom edge but I don't see it unless its full brightness and in the dark and the screen is black (which it really never is).
Really nice. Just wish the sidebar stayed on screen while I scroll. Or that there were more per row. (On my computer there's 3 per row. On the iPad, only 2 and a lot of empty space.bob page said:Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally settled on a domain for my wallpaper site. Have fun!
