You guys are crazy, the Arcade Fire album IS amazing. It deserves all the praises its getting. I dont thinky ou guys have given the album enough listen-to. Songs that I did'nt immediatell like are now some of my favourites.

Not true... I wanted to like it but in the end I concluded it was just another case of GAF elitism that elevated the hype for the album to Such Great Heights...

All the annoying people who hate something because it is heavily praised by annoying people who love something because it is the new "in" thing have finally come out. Quick, let's all jump to a different band to love for no reason. I suggest Frog Eyes because the 2 or 3 songs I've heard from them were really fucking weird.

I hate threads like this. The "What Are You Listening To" threads are much better because, for the most part, it's just people listing what they like with a few "cool, I like that too" comments thrown around.

I'm not going to post anymore after this because in my opinion that would be trolling, but I didn't get it either, Lines.

Well, I don't think the band is horrible. I just freaked out because David Byrne is the most amazing musician in the world, and he should perform songs with MY favorite bands.

This quote set me off. And it wasn't necessarily what you wrote but how I took the quote because of what certain people have been like lately. (I've been looked down on for being trendy by certain people because some of what I like happens to be trendy even though I say very little about my tastes, don't judge other people's tastes. - except for video games - and what I like is generally disliked by the people I hang out with)

I hate the trend/anti-trend phenomenon with a passion because I take shit for being myself. No matter what I think I'm seemingly placed in those two categories.

The first paragraph of what I wrote was sarcasm.

Post-hip is a movement that I'm working out the details on. The intent is not to make myself cool (although it is tailored around my personal philosophy) but to kill the hipster movement while futhering other ideas. I just need to get the people I live with to buy into it and I'll be happy.
