Well, I guess Chozen is going to have to hold me over.

So is anyone else thinking Archer is the father?

Anyway, very touching moment right there.

Wait didn't Lana tell Archer he was the father at the end of last season? When they only had 3 suits and the base was flooding? Or am I misremembering?

Also, I think the break is due to the Winter Olympics. Total bummer but this season has been hitting it out of the park

No I think she just told him she was pregnant and then he gave her the oxygen tank.

The Olympics would make sense for the break. A lot of potential viewers would be lost.

The more I think about it, the more I think the entire series is going to end with Woodhouse just gunning down everybody, picking up Archer, Jr and walking into the sunset saying something appropriately Woodhousian.

To be honest, I can't even remember when/how Lana became/was revealed to be pregnant.

BTW Loved Cheryl's "lettuce" line. I can't remember the exact wording, but it had me guffawing like an idiot. Was touched by Archer's dadliness and Lana's cheek grabbing/baby talk as well.

PS. I hope the baby is somehow Woodhouse's.

It was the Sea Tunt two parter. She wouldn't drink, wouldn't do drugs and at the end when they were arguing about who got the last scuba mask, she announced it. Cyril thought it was his, she laughed (or maybe that part was in my head) then Archer gave up his mask.

She also said that it was from a sperm donor when other characters couldn't hear her, or at least were not on the screen.

I thought that shit was in my head after everybody is debating it ITT. I'm still thinking it's Archers and she just didn't want to say anything to him because...well, he's Archer.

Also, time for Wee Baby Seamus to make an appearance again, no? Could be a good bridge episode for the big reveal!

I'm pretty sure Lana let it slip that Archer was the dad while they were talking in the interrogation room in the 1st episode of the season.

Surprised how much of a gamechanger this is so far.
ISIS shut down.
Former agents forced to be drug dealers.
Lana preggos.
Pam slimming down
Cheryl becoming a country singer.

I have a feeling this show may finish up by this or next season (just saying this because we're bound to have some sort of closure soon).

As for this episode, I'm surprised how innocent Archer is not knowing the various fetishes of porn since he has no internet at home.

Better episode than before, but the writing still seems they rely way too much on old Archer tropes. I can't get over how off this season feels :/

I honestly don't get the stale arguments. Last season was stale. This season most definitely isn't. Sure, there are still a lot of callbacks, but they usually find a fun spin on them (like the Ripley/Bishop joke in this ep).

If there's any criticism I agree with, it's that the first few eps were a bit Pam-heavy (snerk), but I honestly like that Pam has become more integrated into the main plot. In the past, they frequently had to shoehorn characters like Pam and Cheryl into episodes (as stowaways on a mission, being in charge of Malory's luggage, etc.). But now they don't have to come up with excuses for the non-agent characters to be there, and I think it's helpful.

Three weeks with no new Archer :(

I'm not getting though why people think Archer might be the dad of Lana's baby other than that would play into standard tropes and expectations. Lana said straight out it was a donor baby. She could be lying of course but unless I missed something there's nothing overt to suggest she was.

Has anyone watched that Chozen show? It looks horrid.

I don't know if its actually "good" by any objective definition but I've been enjoying it.

The AV club did a decent review of it. It seems to have the pieces for a good show but it hasn't come together yet. Hopefully, like other comedies, they get their shit together for season 2 if they manage to get one.

Three weeks ;_;

This episode was pretty great though. Archer trying to get a BJ and/or RJ was fantastic and Woodhouse really stepped up. It'll be nice to have Ray back once Krieger flips the switch.

The winter Olympics is this year?

Exactly this. Who the hell cares? It's stupid they're putting so many shows on hiatus because of stupid world class athletes. I have zero respect for the Olympics anyway, since they endorse McDonalds crap. "Want to be an Olympian? Eat the shittiest food known to man!"

This episode of Archer was hilarious though, I'm stoked for the rest of the season. I still want a Conway Stern cameo, though. Or at least one from Mr. Ford. <3

this isn't a new thing it happens for literally every major sporting event. also your post makes it seem like networks put shows on hiatus out of respect for the events...they do it because people really do watch them and other shows dip in ratings during them, so it's worth it to go on hiatus.

I know it's not a new thing, but I can't respect/get behind an athlete/sporting event that promotes unhealthy eating. It's just rude. "Want to be like me? Screw hard work and dedication, eat Chicken Nuggets™!"

And I know it's a smart move to put shows on hiatus, but it is pretty annoying. You'd think they'd put out one show in the middle or something, it's unlike people are so into the Olympics that they're all watching it at 10PM at night.

- EW with some guest cast news: 'Walking Dead' star to appear on 'Archer' for multi-episode arc
But who will Lauren Cohan be playing on Archer?
The network says she’ll be voicing Juliana Calderon, a European socialite who is married to a brutal Central American dictator (voiced by Fred Armisen). It seems Juliana’s status as First Lady allows her anything she wants. So what does she want? Archer!

Sounds steamy. For her part, Cohan seems pleased with the part-time gig. “My character is amazing,” she says. “She’s basically like a wealthy corrupt President’s wife who is vaguely European.” (Sounds vaguely hysterical.)
Cohan also says the voice over work was a nice change of pace, which makes sense seeing as how she didn’t have to worry about being devoured by flesh-eating zombies while on the job for once. “It was really fun and a really good comedy break from the usual. It’s maybe the most fun I’ve ever had.”

I usually watch the Olympics when they're on but I could still easily take time out to watch a 30 minute episode of Archer. Or with OnDemand available I could watch it later and the commercials would still be there anyway (though I hate that they do this now).

I understand why they're taking a few weeks off during the Olympics, but it's frustrating that networks are still stuck to this antiquated Nielsen model.

Shit, I'd bet less than half of us in this thread watch new Archer eps as they first air.

This was my favourite episode of the season thus far. Felt like classic Adam Reed humour and dialogue.

The last few while heavy on plot development and quite enjoyable were a little light on the laughs for me. This was a return to form.

For people saying season 4 was stale... I thought even though it was rather predictable it was still downright hilarious most of the time. Probably more solid than season 2 truth be told.

Opinions!
