Are you impressed yet with MS?

Man, you misunderstood my statement to the maximum degree possible. "Most of the stuff Playstation is getting" was a very obvious referral to western games. Not only that, but your 'cutting of the fluff' just happened to ignore the strongest parts of my argument. :p Whatever. You don't want to debate with me then fine, don't debate with me; refrain from the half-assed responses.

Sorry for misunderstanding, but the implication seemed pretty clear at the time. But regardless, the cutting the fluff part was because I can't argue those points anymore because they aren't strong arguments. It's at the point where they are just very strong personal viewpoints which, regardless of how true or not they are in the gaming world, will not change your opinion on what you want. And it shouldn't. But in terms of relevance, my argument and your argument can be sumed up extremely quickly with a few words.

You put less emphasis on Japanese developers than even I do and you think Xbox is the best place for PC-type games/Western developed games. The latter is hard to argue. I would say that if I'm trying to decide which console I'm buying (if I was a one console person) then I want the most variety and the most bang for my buck. Since many of the big Xbox Western titles can be played on PC, in the end it comes down to what has the most variety in the console sector. Last gen that was PS2, next gen it'll be... who knows.

And that's about it. I'm not trying to get into a huge debate because its OSCAR NIGHT, but you can call it half-assed if you want.

C'mon, the whole paragraph was dedicated to the differences between japanese/western titles on each platform. And I thought you were Context-Man. ;)

It really doesn't have to do with MY opinion though. I was arguing from the perspective of Western-centric gamers, who make up a large part of the US gaming market and therefore are a deciding factor in who will take #1 in the west. Maybe that's why you kept remarking on how little I value Japanese developers; I value them far more than most US gamers, I think. Most casuals wouldn't play Silent Hill games, or 2D shooters for that matter.

I'm not trying to argue which console is best for YOU though, or which console is best for the typical hardcore console gamer. I think this is where you misunderstood me, and why this went on for longer than it should have. I'm in complete agreement with this last paragraph.

EDIT: Well, except for the Oscars. Enjoy the televised circle jerk. :p
