I'm enjoying FO2 a lot more than the first(which I just beat two days ago). In FO I tried to remain a good character and I pretty much got my asshanded to me most of the time because I was involved in a lot less fight and when the time came where I HAD to fight, my low level put me at a disadvantage.
So far in FO2 I find that I'm progressing a lot faster by starting a fight with anyone who gets in my way. For example, I went to The Den, I got in a fight with a bar tender, killed him with a spear and *BOOM* I already acquired some nice armor and a really good magnum. I went to the Slaver's Guild to rescue Vic. There were like 11 guards in there. I said to myself "Great, here comes a do-this-job-for-me-to-set-Vic-free-quest." I let out a sigh and said "Later for this sh!t!". I set myself in one of the doorways for cover and then I started unloaded my newly aquired magnum on the nearest guy. All 10+ people in that room attacked me, but some how(probably the psycho I got :lol off one of the bodies mid-combat) I managed to kill them all. I even shot down the ones that surrendered/ran after their leader fell. I saved Vic and didn't have to put up with anyone crap. It seems to me like you would be better off killing any badguy(hostile or not) you come across in the long run because you don't get much exp by being Mr. Nice Guy.
BTW, what's with all the cursing in this series? I've never seen so much cursing in an RPG ever. The 5th to last guy I killed, when he was running away, he yelled "You're a nasty motherf***er!"
