She seems to be big in the North America and Japan but in European territories, she doesn't seem to be a "thing" at all. I honestly thought she was a Nickelodeon actress who later became a sort of big pop star but didn't realise how big she is nowadays. Can't stand pop music nowadays anyway so I tune out of it.

Maybe in the Netherlands where you live. But in the German speaking countries she hasnt been anywhere in the top charts recently. And she is far from the hottest pop artist right now, unless you mean how she looks.

Same here in the UK, she apparently had two No 1's back in 2014 but nothing since then has really taken off.
Strange differences between countries. Here in Finland her songs have played like the most out of any artist this year in mainstream radio stations.

Bullshit. I live in the UK and she's pretty huge over here. If you live in the UK you have to be living under a rock to not know who Ariana Grande is.
Taste in music aside, there's absolutely no reason to buy a radio these days if my local stations are anything to go by. For kicks I looked up the last 50 songs played by the station here that would even play Ariana Grande...... it only goes up to 32. No need to buy a device that plays 32 songs on repeat with commercial breaks.
Just watch her shit on youtube or spotify or some shit, let radio die.

To me, buying a device to hear current music is crazy. If you legit think Ariana Grande's music is good and want to keep up with current trends in music, there's plenty of options.
I think someone should only buy a radio these days for emergency purposes or if they like talk radio.
But since I'm from another generation I would never buy a device solely to expose myself to today's music, that's as appealing to me as exposing myself to malaria.
