^ I dunno. I've told EVERYONE I know about this, and everyone that's checked it out has really liked it. Even my Dad who thinks every single show is stupid really liked it.

My dad was cracking up tonight, and he is an anti tv jehovah's witness.

Haha, Fox needs to use that in their promos.

Clearly I'm the only one, but I'm pretty disappointed with this season. The second episode was so damn funny it hurt, but otherwise I've just found them ok.

Tonight's was funny in places (popop in the attic; she's really funny, yeah she better be), but I just think there's something off. The timing, the flow of the stories...I dunno.

Like I say though, I seem to be the only one thinking this. Tonight's episode wasn't helped by the fact that I missed every single Snoopy joke. I just don't know about Snoopy I guess.

Nope, you're not the only one. I definitely find this season a mild disappointment so far - sure it's funny and still my favourite show on TV but last year was better.

If not for the 'pop-pop in the attic' joke, Buster's soldier outfit, the always funny Final Countdown playing during G.O.B.'s magic show and a few random funny lines this eps was headed for the "meh" list of this season along with the first eps. This season it's almost as if they're working up to the long-running character jokes which will kick in half way through the season like they did last year. I guess that could pay off but for now I just miss the funnier storylines about George Sr in prison, Lucille's evilness and the whole Marta arc.

I'm getting a little underwhelmed by the constant Iraq/Saddam jokes. Seeing George Sr. in the hole was pretty much the last of those references I care to see.

Best show on right now.

I'd have to agree with calder and mama smurf, there was something iffy about this episode that I couldn't quite put my finger on. It was still good, though, with my favorite moment probably being when Gob falls out of the coffin and utters "Something's gone wrong" just as he gets buried. I had no idea about the running gag being Snoopy-related, but I still found it amusing how all the guys moped in the exact same way with the music playing in the background. It's still better than anything else on TV.

Was it just me or was that magician that Gob was jealous of baking himself into a sandwich Ben Stiller? Could be a possible guest star down the line.

I love this show so much, I need to re-watch the Season 1 DVD again. I love how this show so cleverly keeps it's own continuity. I mean remember last season during the marta arc how Buster had never been punched in the face and wanted to feel the experience, well like near the end of the season (wasnt it like 9 eppisodes or more) he gets punched by the narcoleptic stripper in the cake and later Michael says "Well at least you got punched in the face" I never noticed that the first time I saw it on TV (had forgotten the joke from the previous epp at that point) but when I saw it on the DVD I couldent stop laughting.

I mean, seriously, what other show does that? I hate when shows ignor there own continuity, but Arrested Development embraces it. Like season 2, the mexican prison gaurd angerd about the corn baller. Awsome! ANd also in the 3rd eppisode, GOB did his same stupid chicken dance from season 1, I could go on, but I think I have made my point, I love this show! It and Scrubs are the best damn comedys on TV right now.

That would rock if Stiller guest stars!

Seriously, this is the best show on tv since Seinfeld. It is one of the few shows where I can watch the same episodes over and over again. And every time you see an episode again you find something you never noticed before.

Brilliant!

What I saw of season 1 was great, but I think the four episodes of season 2 so far have been better. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes the narration can be too heavy handed, spoonfeeding jokes to the audience.

And on the other hand, there are still many in-jokes that most of the audience doesn't get. The narration is a good compromise between regular viewers and people who try to get into the show.

Just finished watching it

George Michael: "But the great thing is she was so moved by what you said tonight that we're back together!"

Michael: *makes poorly concealed grunt of disappointment*.....(after a few seconds)...."Oh, is that great.."

:lol

It was even better when George Michael first tells his dad they broke up. His initial reaction is a smile, which he twists into a look of concern. Subtle, yet effective. Then the scene ends perfectly with the "I don't know what I'm saying" gag.

M: "Good, yeah... she wasn't for us."
GM: "Wha-no, she's a great girl."
M: "Well, there's other guys."
GM: "You think there are other guys?"
M: "...I don't know what I'm saying. Come on." *hugs GM* :lol

Edit: :lol I'm watching S2E4 for the fourth time now, it gets better with every viewing.

GM: "Well, I understand what that feels like. I was dumped today, and the bad part is I can't even tell my dad how upset I am about it because he'll think that I should just be upset about you."
Pop-pop: "He wouldn't be wrong."

:lol Tobias' scene:

"Here he comes. Here comes John Wayne. 'I'm not gonna cry about ma pa! I'm gonna build an airport, put ma name on it!' Why, Michael? So you can fly away from your feelings?"

I bet that was all improvised. David Cross is awesome.

My favorite running gag is when the police tackle someone, and then that 1 single guy runs up and clubs him with a night stick once :lol

Oh yeah, The Final Countdown is officially the best song ever considering it was also the song they played in the United Center before Jordan took the last shot in games.
