Starting this friday Fox will begin to air all of Arrested Development season 2 in order. 4 episodes every friday. If you missed some or all of the episodes this season, now is a perfect time to catch up before the kick ass season premiere in september.

I missed most of Season 2 (I didn't really get into the show until after season 2 ended, and I borrowed my roommate's Season 1 DVD set), so I'm damn glad Fox is doing this. On the other hand, it does give me less of an incentive to buy the DVDs immediately.

I'm going into this season expecting it to be the show's last... that way, I won't be so disappointed.

probably a smart move, though I am pretty sure fox is going to shoot for at least this season and one more. that puts it at the 100 episode syndication mark.

No, four seasons (including the shortened season 2) would only be 84 episodes.

doh. you're right. I don't know why I thought this was the fourth season.

well, what I say is still the truth though. the head of fox television has already said he REALLY wants to see it get to 100 episodes. he said he feels it will just clean up on DVD and with syndication rights. and he actualyl went out of his way to say this.

11 emmy nominations this year couldn't hurt either (and hopefully many of those will turn into wins again)

because they think the audience for animation domination is different than for AR (and they might be right). They are sending it to Mondays to try and carve out its own night. the friday reruns thing is just for summer, and it's because they want to show all of season 2 before fall and no other night can accomodate an AR onslaught.

No, they are showing Season 2 in order on Friday (4 shows at a time) up until the Season 3 premiere. So you won't have S2 and S3 on at the same time.

Arrested Development is the Ben Roethlisberger and Magic Johnson (pre-HIV) of comedies.

The show just never seems to get old. I think I have seen almost every episode like 3-4 times and I think they get funnier every time I see them because I seem to find something new with each subsequent viewing.

Sci Friday will destroy Arrested Development on Fridays... they were better off picking another day. Outside of SciFriday (because face it, a good bit of that audience aint doing jack on Friday), Friday is where shows go to die a horrible horrible death.

Friday is only to rerun Season 2. When Season 3 starts, it's slot will be on Monday's.
