Don't believe him. Nothing helps with this. Just watch it and accept that it is bad and sometimes so bad it's good. And hope S4 is better. Maybe watch Flash in addition, that definitly helps.

I think it mended the wounds caused by Arrow S3. And showed that it's not the charactes who are bad, it's just the writing staff from Arrow that's bad!
...I am not sure if that's a good thing. Oh god.

Season 3 isn't that bad episode to episode, it just doesn't come together in the second half. Look at the fan reaction to the midseason finale, people were riding on a high. There just isn't any payoff to the big reveals. Plus the flashbacks really really sucked last year.
But we're moving forward. Considering how hard they're pushing new direction, new stuff, I imagine they're aware of how last season was received.
Edit: That Fecility origin episode is the worst episode the series has ever had though. But pretty sure that was in the first half. Of we can just go 22 episodes without another clunker like that...

Season 3 is very divisive. Pretty much watch and judge for yourself.
Just do it in one go. Still worth it. Very good character development, just too much broody Oliver.

No, but someone here should make a list of all the essential episode in season 3
The ideal episode 1 of season 4 would have all the women from the show in a room together bickering, acting all edgy and angst-filled. Cut to - A meteor. Meteor crushes the room the women are in. New women arrive. One of the new women carries with her a vial of personality. She slips the contents of that vial into Oliver's glass.

Yeah, it should be a no brainer really. The actor was apparently bulking up earlier this year too, so maybe he'll return all jacked up and having been trained by Merlyn in secret?

What a strange OP. I laughed at the Diggle joke though.
While I'm on the "Season 3 was disappointing and a huge step down from the perfection of Season 1 and 2", there were still mind blowing incredible moments that made me scream out of happiness. The crossover episode, Cupid, the appearance of Ra's, The Atom, Oliver and Felicity FINALLY getting together, Oliver showing up at Starling City in the flashbacks, etc.
It's gonna be weird calling it Star City from now on (it'll easily be much weirder than calling Skye "Daisy"). Really happy to see HIVE showing up, since I remember them from the awesome Teen Titans cartoon I loved as a kid.
Can't wait to see Season 4, hope the lighter tone doesn't bug me too much!

I've been waiting so damn long for this. I've ditched Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Person of Interest and yet I can't get enough Arrow and Flash. I don't know what's wrong with me. They're both so dumb and cheesey but no matter how shit they got last season I still couldn't help myself.

Tbf season 1 Deadshot wasn't incredible. Season 2 though was perfect though.
Shame he's never coming back thanks to the Suicide Squad movie next year. Worst part is that Will Smith probably wont do the character justice :[
Saying that, we totally need Rope Guy for Arrow.
I wish the Smith's would stop meddling with my DC comics shows. What's next, Jaden in Supergirl?
Robin in Batman vs. Superman before headlining Nightwing of course.
