Assassins Creed Unity Leaked PS4 version shots (Confirmed 900p / 30fps)

I still think this is weird.. Is it rushed? Imo Watchdogs looked better on PS4 than this. and that was a cross-generation game.
I'm not buying this day one, if at all.

I'm sorry, but are we just gonna glance over whatever the fuck this woman is doing?

This picture is nauseating. Perhaps she's actually a dragon and is hiding a massive tail under that dress. That would explain how it go so kicked up. The half-dozen-or-so problems on just her model? Those I cannot even attempt to explain.
Looks fine to me. I'll wait to pass judgement when I see it in motion on my tv/ps4.
We should be expecting a higher standard than this out of the new hardware. Ubi's other games this year have looked better, as has, well, basically everything else released. Then again you do have the "surely the game can't look this ridiculous!" argument of basic logic on your side.

I remember Far Cry 3 having excellent performance and visuals on the PC. All Ubisoft games are not suddenly Watch Dogs.

This is true, I got a surprisingly good performance with my 560 at the time

You are comparing a Crytec PC port to a Ubisoft PC port... Think about it.

I know that was my intention. This will likely not be very well optimised port if an otherwise perfectly good GPU doesn't meet it's minimum requirements.

This is true. But once again, the "gameplay" demo was a sack of horseshit. The fact that the game was not a buggy mess is not something to celebrate, it should be the norm.

Isn't it just the fashion of that time? I see nothing weird. She might be farting though.

I wonder if they have some dynamic settings that affect IQ, because it seems like indoor shots with no crowd look good while more busy scenes look like an eye infection.

This shot looks like it's using sprites and not 3D models.

For those people saying "I don't care because I'll be playing on PC":

Do you really have faith in the UbiPort for this game? I'm expecting it to be a complete mess, especially given the ridiculous spec requirements they released.
My concern is that the graphics issues extend beyond just blurriness and compression. 1080p is only going to fix so much.

Ubisoft said that they rebuilt their engine from the ground up for current-gen consoles?

Cut the shit, Ubi, we all know it's just a slightly modified (at best) version of the engine they've been using for years now.

I've played AC2, ACB and AC4 and I would say the gameplay is terrible in all three. If you don't believe me I can add you on PSN, I did almost everything in the games besides the garbagio multiplayer.

Considering the gameplay has been bad in all the games leading up to this one, I doubt it's gonna change this time around.

I never said I didn't believe you. But you playing a bunch of games and -->thinking<-- they are bad does not mean that...BAM put a stamp on it, EVERYONE thinks the games are bad. I enjoy the franchise personally and also know many people, inside and outside of GAF who have similar feelings. Do I think that they have to change the formula and bring something fresh? Yes, by all means. That's what I'm hoping they do with the new black box assassinations and co-op brotherhood missions.

I'm not sure whether to go for

Assassin's Creed: Unity [OT] - Thanks, xbox...

or

Assassin's Creed: Unity [OT] - Viva La Parité!

Maybe

Assassin's Creed: Unity [OT] - Brought you by the makers of Vaseline

Assassin's Creed: Unity [OT] Liberté, Égalité, Parité

They flat-out told us they held it back. The exact quote was that they "locked it to avoid debates". That's not a slip of the tongue or bad wording, regardless of the BS they will try to feed you afterwords.

I do actually believe it was horrible PR. I mean if Ubisoft is convinced on parity for games now to "avoid debates" why is Far Cry 4 not locked on consoles?

Far Cry 3 had absolutely awful performance on PC. A 970 can barely run it on max settings at 1920x1080, which means that there wasn't a single graphics card on the market that could max it out on release.

The game certainly didn't look good enough to warrant that.

Because MS isn't co-marketing it. MS don't want people buying a better version. Sony is co-marketing FC4, they do want people buying a better version.

The lie was who wanted to 'avoid debates and stuff', not that no one did.

I think that Ubi would be best served to do some streams like BioWare has been doing with Dragon Age: Inquisition. Show all versions and just be open.

Microsoft is Co-Marketing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and that has already been confirmed 1080p on PS4 based on leaked copies. Xbox One version will likely be 900p, I don't believe Assassin's Creed Unity was held back because of Xbox One.

what in the hell are you talking about
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_970_STRIX_OC/14.html
so 63.3 average frames per second at 1920x1080, at max settings, with 4xAA is now only "BARELY" running and "ABSOLUTELY AWFUL PERFORMANCE".

Huh? I'm pretty sure this isn't right. Far Cry 3 ran great and I've seen benchmarks putting the minimum framerate of a single 970 at above 60fps.

They're also co-marketing Dragon Age.

Just because they can convince one publisher/team, doesn't mean they can everyone else, especially now the fallout has been so messy.

It's like saying because Rise of Tomb Raider is exclusive, every game could be.
