"Attack on Titan the final season..... Season 3".

Well hey, maybe the extra time will allow them to pull a reverse GOT and come up with an ending that isn't shit.

This is like ending a bad relationship. AoT still has moments of awesomeness but the whole plot jump the shark when they discovered Marley and started talking about the time travel memory bullshit. AoT was at its best when it was just about humans no longer being the apex predator and trying to stop their own extinction. Demon Slayer dumps all over it ... and Tengan Uzui is my dad.

I’d prefer it to be a movie, sucks need to wait an entire year. Manga finished last year, this seems too long of a wait. It will be awesome regardless, the last chapters of AoT will be spectacular animated.

Not sure if I’m a huge fan of Mappa. The feeling/look of the series has definitely changed from the first 3 seasons. I enjoyed the Liberio portion, but rest is just not as hype as the first 3 seasons - I think it’s the music. Mappa went with a more realistic serious tone. The originally animators had more hype music which made every expedition feel exciting/horrifying

That bad? I left off on the episode when Mikasa group meet up with injured Capt Levi and they make an alliance with Marlians.

This whole time skip and the way Eren has changed sucks! I had always thought Eren/Mikasa/Armin would be together and as they are core of the show!

We have always followed them and know their point of views but now we really don’t know much of what Eren will do sucks since he was really the main protagonists!

Yeah, won't get into details because this is a thread about the anime but while I had been enjoying the final arc, I really thought the whole thing fell apart in the last 3-4 chapters of the manga.

I'm curious how anime only watchers will react to the ending.

I agree you with you except the Demon Slayer part. That show isn't good like... At all. Watch more Shounen.

That is a very basic analysis on AOT considering that now you can tell the show was always going to be more than what we got during the first 3 seasons. This has been planned since day one.

The show could've jumped the shark once they got to that basement...but everything that happened since then is what made this show go from "just another good anime" to something a lot bigger. I'm a sucker for shows that make you go back and analyse obvious clues of what would happen later. This is one of those shows.

Season 2's ending credits scenes literally shows us Ymir's story that we ended up learning on season 4 (for example).

This last episode is a good episode if you want to check what happened between season 3 and 4 as well.

I'm glad we're getting more episodes instead of a movie.

The only bad thing is the naming. Season 2 was just 12 episodes...part 3 of season 4 makes no sense to me.

Not making a movie looks like a missed opportunity to me.

Being the end of such cultutal penomenon demands a big grand finale.

I'm hoping they change the ending for the anime. Personally, I just pretend the manga ended when the walls crumble and the rumbling starts.
