This is like ending a bad relationship. AoT still has moments of awesomeness but the whole plot jump the shark when they discovered Marley and started talking about the time travel memory bullshit. AoT was at its best when it was just about humans no longer being the apex predator and trying to stop their own extinction. Demon Slayer dumps all over it ... and Tengan Uzui is my dad.
That is a very basic analysis on AOT considering that now you can tell the show was always going to be more than what we got during the first 3 seasons. This has been planned since day one.
The show could've jumped the shark once they got to that basement...but everything that happened since then is what made this show go from "just another good anime" to something a lot bigger. I'm a sucker for shows that make you go back and analyse obvious clues of what would happen later. This is one of those shows.
Season 2's ending credits scenes literally shows us Ymir's story that we ended up learning on season 4 (for example).
This last episode is a good episode if you want to check what happened between season 3 and 4 as well.
I'm glad we're getting more episodes instead of a movie.
The only bad thing is the naming. Season 2 was just 12 episodes...part 3 of season 4 makes no sense to me.
