I just purchased a 6gbIriver (trance red) off of ebay for $160 (shipped), and my car only has a CD player in it. What kind of adapter do I need for it to work in my car? Thanks

Oof.....I don't think it works with just a CD player. Basically they can plug into the regular tapedeck converter. The way you hook it up is just like it was using the car as a set of speakers.

You can use a plug that plugs into the headphone jack and into the ciggarette lighter. It transmits a Fm frequencey and plays it through the radio.

You can rip out the deck and see if it has an inputs. or get an FM transmitter.

They have FM transmitters that'll work for any MP3 player.
