Finally. Nice to know that a good thing came of RATM's death. Any news as to when the album's going to be released?

Man. This song is garbage. I expected better, but then again, I thought Audioslave's first album sucked too.

I'm torn on this one. If Soundgarden get back together, that would kind of mean that Pearl Jam would need a new drummer and I think that Matt is the best one they've had.

Fuck Pearl Jam, biiatch!

Pearl Jam doesn't need Matt. As a matter of fact, Matt's drumming in Pearl Jam is just replaceable with the type of music they've been releasing lately.

Soundgarden, however, needs Matt.

...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
I still listen to the original very, very often. It's a terrific record. Cornell can do no wrong.

I like the song. It's not really "Audioslave" in my mind, I too was expecting more grunge or rock, but it's still a good song to listen to.

I like the song. I'm just slightly bothered that this song would be perfect for some sort of "self esteem" rock opera episode of Sesame Street. Then again, maybe that's what they were going for :lol

I think it fits their audience if we go by the last record.

That "where are your balls" comment fits perfectly, though.

PS: fuck black mage.

Actually they need to get the guy who's fronting Creed...uhm I mean Alter Bridge now.

Please I like Matt and all but Jack Irons was the best drummer they had.

well then who will front Alter Bridge? Its "early 90s rock music musical chairs" and unfortunately SOMEONE is going to end up with Adam Duritz.

im cool with audioslave and all (liked their first album a lot), but man this song is infested with vaginitis. just doesn't sit well with me, hopefully the rest of the album is more in line with what i expect out of them

What's Evan Dando(sp) doing now a days, other than Julian Hatfield, if they are still an item that is?

what ever happened to Kim Thayill. Living of his Soundgardern money? No new music that I can think of has been released.

he was really creative and I think he could have a big impact on rock again.

Like a Stone > anything by Pearl Jam

New song isn't bad. After finishing the mp3, I took off my headphones and the song started playing on the radio.

What the FUCK. I know their first album by heart, loved it. This doesn't even sound like Creed or Nickelback. It sounds like someone TRYING to rip off Creed or Nickelback. Horrible.

The song isn't half-bad; a tad over produced perhaps, but it's about as good as anything Audioslave has put out; which is largely derivative, but enjoyable, music IMO. As far as mainstream rock goes, they're about as good as things get at the moment. Much as I'd love for Cornell to go back to Soundgarden or the rest of the band to get back with Zach to do Rage Aainst the Machine again, Audioslave isn't a bad combination, especially when compared to the absolutely abysmal Velvet Revolver, which is doing everything in its power to destroy any fond memories of Stone Temple Pilots music I may have had. Ugh.

As for Nickelback, all I have to say is this: http://www.thewebshite.net/nickelback.htm

Did Chris actually write this one, or did someone else in the band? Because Chris Cornell usually has some really smart/fucked up/creative lyrics in his songs.

Excellent, man Cornell's voice is so amazing. When I don't hear a new song from him for awhile I forget how great it really is.

SG should not get back together, you can't just throw the band back together and think they will be at the level they were at before. SG were a once in a lifetime band and it could only last so long, they are rich and got it made, where is the anger supposed to come from.

I imagine turning on the radio would be a start.

I was listening to it and the song ended and I didn't even realize it. I love Cornell, but it's all starting to sound the same. =/

And don't fuck with the Pearl Jam Posse.

find the song "give" by Audioslave. It's on itunes as an exclusive track, or I'm sure a little birdy or something could help you find it. It's in the same lyrical vein, but a little harder edged.

GET BACK TOGETHER WITH SOUNDGARDEN DAMMIT!
If Soundgarden got back together tomorrow, there'd still be a bunch of whiney people saying: "It's not how it used to be!"

Times change people, get over it.

The song isn't that bad. Are you guys really all that pissed that you need angry music? I got enough Soundgarden for that. On the other hand, I love Audioslave's first album. It's just great, simple rock.

Now Pearl Jam, I just don't like them at all anymore, even though I love their first few albums.

It's disappointing. I loved Audioslave's first album. But my first impression is very 'meh' and even a little put off by the chorus.

Im sure Cornell will have some screamers on the next Audioslave album as well, the way he sings on this album reminds me of a few songs on Down on the Upside which i personally thought had some of SG's best songs.
