I don't think curtain jerking for the normal tv shows (PPV is a different story) is as big a deal as people make it out to be. Cena, HHH, HBK, Orton, Austin, Rock and others have all started Raw/Smackdown at various times in their careers. I think if anything the champ not ending the show is a bigger indication of what people are afraid of for the wrestler they're concerned about.

Coming to think of it how often does Big Show perform moves of the non striking variety? a few bodyslams and back body drops every now and then but for the most part he just wallops people, even replacing the chokeslam with a punch.
