So I watched this Heyman Hustle video which took a segment from one of his one man show evening with Paul Heyman things and he puts forth the idea that Brock Lesnar went into business for himself when he ended the Undertaker's streak. He of course labels it as a conspiracy theory and says half the people here will go home wondering if he said something he shouldn't have told them.

I gotta admit, that conspiracy theory has a certain appeal to it though.

Heyman being Heyman. He's just that damn good at talking... And lying.

It's a good job he doesn't talk about real conspiracies. You'd leave one of his talks thinking "Wait... Can jet fuel melt steel beams?"

It's a good thing he's not a flat earther or anything like that.

Brock shooting to beat the streak only would have gone unnoticed because Taker got concussed.

Besides in that situation its up to the person kicking out to kick out and any noticable kick out or bridge attempt would have been noticed by the fans.

On a different note, did anyone check out the female gymnast landing on her head last night?
I cringed but she still managed to perform her other events.

I like how WWE tires to build up the New Day/The Club match by saying how viciously Big E was attacked because he suffered a contusion.

How will Big E ever fight again with a contusion

Ryback getting ready for his big UFC payday after Punk loses and needs a new opponent to fight.

Maybe Ryback interpreted the expression that "Ryback is dangerous in the ring" the wrong way

Anyone's favourite Ryback memories actually include any of his matches? I remember a serviceable Last Man Standing match with Cena, but I think his best match may have been the Ryback & Team Hell No vs The Shield tag from TLC 2012.

Besides the 3 on 3 tag match, I enjoyed his matches with CM Punk.

Not to mention the squashes.

TWO IS GREATER THAN ONE.

He's been ok. I can't remember any particularly good matches of him, but I think that speaks to his strength as a character when he was doing his Bully work, or his strange Secret promo that a lot of people liked.

His last couple of matches with Kalisto before he left where really good.

Other than that, there's no matches of his that I've actually enjoyed. Started watching again in 2013 about the time his big push ended.

That promo felt like a fever dream.

I agree, but I also saw that match live. Glad to see it's not just my bias.

Ryback wasn't Khali stiff, but he wasn't a very limber big man either. I don't think he could keep up with the rest of the roster. I remember a match he had with Owens that was one of the worst I've seen Owens wrestle in WWE because Owens had to slow down to his speed.

Paul is a great promo but I'm sure Vince had a plan incase somebody did try to shoot.

plus lets look back at the pin lesnar used

If he was trying to hold Taker down he wouldn't use the leg like that or else it would look like this

h4Cmstm.gif

He would have had his body weight square on his chest putting as much weight as possible near the takers head so he couldn't roll over.

Taker just laid there and unless the secret to all of this was taker was so badly concussed he was blacked out and everyone there was improvising (Which would make Brock and Paul the greatest workers of all time for not breaking kayfabe and celebrating a "win" on what would have been the biggest fuck up maybe in the history of the company (Aside from Owen and the Wellness policy not being enforced)

Accidentally breaking the streak would have been the biggest fuck up in the history of wrestling not counting botches where people died or got paralyzed.

Why would someone seriously entertain the notion of Brock going into business for himself?

You really think he sat down with the video production guy and got him to prepare a 21-1 graphic?

Daniel Bryan's gonna be on Raw tonight. I guess they couldn't keep pretending the shows were separate for more than 2 weeks.

LOL

I love this kind of fucked up logic. WWE does it themselves as well. Like when a wrestler who's not supposed to be there gets their entrance music and video instantly queued up for some reason.

In kayfabe the video production team is constantly shooting on the company and going into business for themselves.

I like the fact when Randy showed up on RAW they didn't play his music or anything. Makes a lot more sense.

It's a BS conspiracy theory but it's being floated by Heyman himself so that makes it interesting alone.

The idea is that only four people knew the outcome of the match, Taker, Heyman, Lesnar and Vince. If that was the case, production and everybody else would be prepared for either outcome.

Aiii

So not worth it
The Olympics this time seems...I don't know...it doesn't feel like a big deal like it did last time.

Ever since cutting the cord nothing seems that big a deal anymore. I'm happier for it, I think. I only focus on shit I enjoy now.

And then they rewarded him for blowing the biggest angle in the history of the company by giving him the title 5 months later and having him main event the next WrestleMania.

I also liked the conspiracy theory that Vince booked Brock break the streak as a purposeful scheme to make Bryan going over in the main event get less heat because he hates Daniel Bryan.
