I just kinda joined because of this thread. Its the only one that seems really active, cool, and on point when it comes to wrestling.

This is great to hear. I'm sorry to say I only have a few more weeks left here, but I hope after I lose my UFC bet, you'll find something to enjoy even without me. God bless.

Don't worry. Kaladin and I will turn this place in to something magical while you are gone, like Shane and Steph are doing for Smackdown Live and Raw.

The Mighty Don't Kneel is the dumbest name I've ever heard.

Sounds like a good name for a band that uses lots of guitar and a whiny voiced singer.

Roode is great, da fuck is this noise

Roode is excellent in the ring, and he understands psychology.

While lurking, I assume you are tied to that CM Punk bet going on here right? Is that a year long thing,or perm?

I almost feeling like that awful theme song WWE did for Luke and Karl is perfect for a team with an awful name like The Mighty Don't Kneel.

Actually, now that I think about it, Luke and Karl's awful theme song is fitting considering how awful Luke and Karl are.

I don't watch mush from japan (trying to change that) but from the 1 time I saw them on a ROH show and in the WWE I don't get the Bulletclub/Luke and Karl love.

They fucking suck. Its like watching 2 kevin nashes who are even worse workers.

They're basically the Basham Brothers for a new generation. I think the only way to salvage them is to repackage them as L&K Security and have them be Seth's comedy bodyguards.

They should actually be invaders or rebels.

Problem with that is they would have to thwart or at least no sell any McMahon and you know that ain't happening.

RAW was decent. Smackdown was a definite step-up from last week. 3 out of 4 good shows so far makes me hopeful that the brand-split can at least keep up this level of quality and get even better on occasion.

All this plus the NXT/CWC double-bill. July->August has really been a darn good time to be a WWE follower.

Plus: Dolph Ziggler goes from eye-roll worthy to a genuine draw again in the space of a week. It's amazing what can happen when putting some effort into booking.

Any particular Roode matches I should watch? I don't want to see a shitty one.

Just a year. No big deal!

Count me as one of the people who were totally emamoured with Brock for a couple of years there, always getting pumped up for his matches in WWE, and especially his UFC return, now wanting to see him get pinned in a dang RKO squash match and disappear, since it was revealed he cheated.

What a disappointment. His whole 'mystique' was that yeah this is WWE, but Brock is cool because he was actually a serious fighter. Now he's a joke cos he came back after all this time just to cheat, and the only way he could recover from that is to go back to UFC and win a few fights clean, but I'm assuming he either is or will be suspended (haven't heard about that - any updates?) for a couple of years meaning he's just gonna shuffle in and out of WWE while Paul Heyman continues his slimey promo routine ignoring the issue while his pops and ratings fade.

Also on the subject - I thought Heyman's promo on Monday was really off. He came out and did the whole 'the WWE wants to entertain you oh haha big babies Brock Lesnar is real' - except he just got caught being fake and WWE is in the midst of the biggest shake up in its style for years, so I was just thinking 'you're an asshole'. WWE has got some good will in the bank right now, since they're actually trying to put on better shows. I guess this is good for a heel, if that's what Brock is, but if they don't define him as such and just try and coast on his previous aura of legitimacy, I think that's a mistake. He isn't special anymore, and I kind of just don't want to see him again.

I don't like Paul Heyman, folks. Never did, even when I was on the Lesnar train. I know a lot of people speak highly of him but he's just an obviously disingenuous sleazebag (check out his heyman hustle stuff where he posts pics of whatever hot young models he hires all the time for some evidence), that I just instinctively dislike the guy. His aims aren't exciting and his idea of entertainment is out of date.

So all in all yeah, I'm getting a good working over by the Lesnar storyline.

New Kayfabe is in effect, friend. And it works. It's nice.

So I'm very much a casual wrestling fan but I'm watching breaking ground on the network after hearing good things and it's legit fascinating

This ZZ dude is annoying as hell tho

here's my reasoning :

Brock got lazier every match since he came back, so I like him less and less

Eh, I don't agree with this. Yeah suplex city established a pattern since the Sacrifice of Cena but they did try and vary it up - the two 2015 taker matches were real matches, both of which were good and we got a clean finish to the feud, and then it was the rumble which was actually decent this year - it was just that Ambrose match at Wrestlepression 32 which disenthralled everyone on Lesnar cos the build to that match was actually pretty good, and it was just a big fat nothing. Then he disappeared for months leaving everyone sour and asking, what was so good about that guy again?

Then UFC 200 comes around and we all remember 'oh yeah! this is why he was cool! man can't wait to see what he does back in WW-oh he cheated? okay that's it fuck this guy.'

I think that's the progression. I know some people hated the part time champ, untouchable thing, but I loved it. But I'm done now.

And yet I want to tune in to the Orton match...to see Orton win. The intricacies of the new kayfabe are truly mysterious.

TY, will pick a couple and go

You workin' us? Or what's happening?

I made a bet that Punk will win at UFC 202. There is 0% chance this happens, so I'll come out on the losing end.

I have some good news for you.
Haha yeah I figured as much

When every single one of his segments involvrs his trainers getting pissed at him for slacking off you kinda get an idea of where it's gonna go

Literally everyone else is a thousand times more likeable

He looks a lot older but healthier, if that makes sense. He looks good here. Looks like he really lost a lot of weight. I know he's a dick but I am hoping he finds success in the UFC.
Is there a picture of him without his gi? I'm curious to see how his core will look. Regardless, he's always had a normal stomach and what not other than I think it was when he started becoming the monster heel with Jeff, then ses. He got really big mass wise. I know he talked in hia documentary about how his friends called him out for being much bigger than he was when he firat started. Dude was like jobber build.

This episode of the Real World is a huge letdown. They named it "WWF is in the house" because two of the roommates wrestled a little in the room. smh.

I wanted to see Mr Perfect.

I'm in the same boat except I like Heyman. I had high hopes for where the Brock storyline would end when they let him end the streak and I was pulling for him in his return to UFC but my enthusiasm has been extinguished now. When was the last good Brock match? The 3-way at Fastlane? 'Mania 31? Heyman definitely still has a use as a performer. Having him as Lesnar's advocate is stale for me now especially as Brock isn't in the title scene (which is the most kayfabe shattering part of WWE at the moment) but he can still be a useful performer, people have suggested pairing him with Reigns and I'd like to see how he'd do with someone like Roman, didn't work for Cesaro but whatever.

Fuck it, put him with Nia Jax.
