The ring sounds really weird at SuperBrawl 2000. I can't explain it. It's got, like, this almost comically hollow reverberation. Strange.

WCW's lights reminds me of TNA's. Then WWF's was very dim and made things seem eerie.

Attitude WWF had this grainy, slightly desaturated, almost documentary-like quality to it that just looked great, while WCW always looked a lot more like a TV show due to how bright and saturated things were, even during their darkest and edgiest period.

Why was Wrestlemania hosted in such small arenas for a stretch in the mid-late 90s? Could they just not fill up a giant stadium?

Buildings are booked long in advance. Not only did they need to compete with all the normal stuff for venue room but also WCW. WWF tended for smaller venues in bigger markets with higher prices while WCW mainly did basketball arenas and up to domes.

That Turner money makes sure your production is still top notch even though everything else was over the place.

WCW production is honestly god awful until Bischoff takes over and gets actual money thrown at it. You can see it change almost immediately after he takes over.

You guys are probably right about production. I don't put much thought into it unless the camera is zooming in and out and/or unnecessarily shaking. And then it sucks.

Coastal Championship Wrestling just heard from Scotty 2 Hotty and we were informed that he has re-signed with WWE. Unfortunately, due to his contractualscottytoohotty obligations with them, he will not be able to appear at Summer Heat. Scotty sends his apologies to the CCW fans and hopes to be able to make it up to them at some point in the future. We would like to congratulate Scotty on his new contract and wish him the best of luck.

CCW matchmakers went right to work upon hearing the news and have replaced Scotty with former WWE Tag Team Champions The Headbangers. In the new main event at Summer Heat Mosh and Thrasher will square off with Santos and former WWE star Abraham Washington.

Coastal Championship Wrestling is dedicated to putting on an action packed and fun filled event so please tell your friends and neighbors and we’ll see everyone on Saturday August 6th in Coral Springs!

At least they arent bringing back Grand Master Sexay. RIGHT?

They might bring SEXAY back qgain., he was alright in that NXT match. Still, looking forward to seeing the worm hit on Heath Slater.

It's really 1999 and 2000 where they have no excuses not booking domes for all the big PPVs. Easily would have sold them out, had plenty of notice from the upswing in 1998.

So I didn't think much to Shibata vs Elgin, but Elgin vs Omega and Naito vs Shibata were excellent G1 matches.

There is never enough puro coverage in these threads so it's nice from to time to jump in and catch up, and the actual wrestling style and presentation of NJPW is top notch, I didn't even notice there was no commentary on the versions I watched, the action told me everything I needed to know.

I'm still only up to night 2 on the G1. Might just have to stick with the list that was posted earlier plus some of the Yano matches.
