Gaz, I had no idea you were a member of Lemon64. I logged in tonight and saw your name in one of the threads... Who knew?
Ha, that's awesome :) I haven't been there in years sadly, only recently returned to start a "Suggest an old game. I will make a comic about it" thread. I have one on the Retrogamer and YakYak forums too. i like those threads, they're a good way to show the comics to a new audience of people that like video games. But yeah, Lemon 64, good people!

*fist bump*

Aww, ego deflated. :(

I was just a little creeped out by the Gazunta banner fanfic that was occurring before my very eyes. When AusGAF start making out I start leaving the forum

Triple fist bump, I have accounts on Retrogamer and YakYak as well.

Now it's getting creepy again.

I was indeed worried and perplexed at the lack of game. I thank you for your correspondence and expect you to hold true to your word as a gentleman. I expect the game by tomorrow morn or I will have harsh words at thee.

Mayhaps pistols at dawn if it does not arrive posthaste? I will have my satisfaction, sir!

I suppose I am best at adventure games? I dunno, most games are made these days to be played to the end rather than be challenging. Aside from MP and your sport games of course.

hey don't blame me, blame the people who don't bother reading anyone else's posts and then post their own thing and then leave the thread forever.

At the least you've got a few guys actually kinda talking. Or... responding to each other.

Don't you want to find out what went wrong before sending it out for the third time?

Oh, Ridonkulous! is a user? I thought HolyCheck was using the word as an expletive e.g. They returned the game. How ridonkulous!

That explains things. I thought HolyCheck was just sleep deprived and posted in the wrong place.

Sorry, HolyCheck.

Won't Steam/SecuROM lock people out though?
Even if so, you could still play single player until the unlock time.

As for me, I'm still stuck waiting for the US PS3 version to ship as it escorts another game which is gift-wrapped and shall remain nameless...

Wouldn't it need to connect online for the installation though? I was pretty sure that was one of the main reasons for Steam, to protect against Before Day One piracy.

That's probably only if you want to play online and stuff. They aren't going to put a disc on shelves that requires you to go online in order to play it (unless it's a game which requires online play, like an MMORPG). There are still people out there without decent Internet connections at home.

Portal 2 street date has been shattered so you can all go buy it now.
Went to my JB across the way and they were aware of the street break but hadn't received their shipment nor had any other JB in the city. Will try after work.

PS3 for me.

You have to go online once to connect it to your Steam account.

It's supposed to release in 5 hours anyway.

I should go home early.

NeoGAF Quick Reply is an awesome Chrome Extension and everyone should use it.

Also the F1 race was amazing, one of the best in years. So glad the broadcast is in HD as well, looks great on my plasma :D

You can play single player without doing that on the PS3 and 360. Are you saying they force you to attach it to Steam in order to play single player on the PC too? Sure, you wouldn't get the Steam Achievements and all that, but I seriously doubt that they'd require you to have an Internet connection for a game that has such a sizable SP component.

Oh, I wasn't thinking about the console versions.

Why would anyone play a Valve game on a console?

I understand buying the PS3 version to get the PC free and then you have two copies. But actually playing it on the PS3? Heresy.

Well yes. It is a Valve game, who makes Steam, therefore it is attached to your Steam account. Much the same for Steamworks games, they require Steam to play.

Been that way for years for most PC games. It usually says on the box that an internet connection is required for installation.

All Valve games require Steam activation to be played.

I don't think the PS3 version will force Steam activation before playing though..? That would be like, EA bad.
