AusGAF 3.0 - Double the price, region locked and refused classification

Oh, I wasn't thinking about the console versions.

Why would anyone play a Valve game on a console?

I understand buying the PS3 version to get the PC free and then you have two copies. But actually playing it on the PS3? Heresy.
Local co-op with a non-gamer?

Also that quickpost is cool.

Does that include the Steam release? Coz I'm of a mind to just drive home now.
You can't play it right now, but at worst it will unlock at 4pm. It could be sooner, I'm not sure what happens when the potato count reaches zero. Unless the potato count is set to reach zero in five hours anyway. Damn ARGs.

OK, I'm surprised by the Steam thing. I thought it was only the latest Command and Conquer that did something like that.

Now that I think about it, I can't even remember how long it's been since I last bought a PC game at retail... No wonder I'm out of the loop.

You can play single player without doing that on the PS3 and 360. Are you saying they force you to attach it to Steam in order to play single player on the PC too? Sure, you wouldn't get the Steam Achievements and all that, but I seriously doubt that they'd require you to have an Internet connection for a game that has such a sizable SP component.

Where have you been the last few years? :T

I'll be playing after work, but I normally do SP before MP so maybe tomorrow night?

Ill be the same. I know ill be chewing through it with my house mate, but I've got another 3 mates that want to play as well. I'm hoping the replay value is good otherwise ill be unhappy

I've played every Valve game to completion at least twice, yet I rarely finish most other games a first time.

Valve make quality, and nothing but.

Still haven’t found a fruit and nut mix for snacking on that completely satisfies.

Got the generic Sunshine Mix from Coles which is way too low on the nutty content, has dried cherries and some large yellowish dried fruit that I’m not sure of but is a bit sour. What nuts it does have are pretty good – there are Macadamias in there and Cashews are always a great nut to have in any snack. Trail Mix was a bit gamey and had too much sunflower seeds which really pervades the taste of the other nuts. It did has yoghurt-covered raisins and it was a nice treat to pull a handful of snack mix out of the Tupperware container and having a few of those bad boys smiling back at me.

Currently rocking the plain old ‘Fruit and Nut Mix’ again from Coles. Dried fruit component is heavily skewed towards sultanas and apricots although there’s a bit of dried apple in there. It’s got Walnuts which the Sunshine Mix didn’t have, so that keeps me happy and there’s plenty of almonds in there. The big detractor for this mix is the heavy dose of plain peanuts – I hate the bland flavour and it diminishes the snacking experience. There’s also less variety in each handful whereas with the Sunshine Mix it's a nice surprise with each handful.

Ideal mix would comprise pretty much what I’m already enjoying but with more dried apple, a few yoghurt-covered raisins and the nut component of the Sunshine Mix in higher volume but keeping the walnuts. Fuck off the dried cherries completely, get out of my life I hate you.

I buy a few different types and mix them up. I currently have a 50/50 mix of the aforementioned Coles Sunshine mix and some almonds from Woolies:

Sometimes I throw some cashews in. If I'm feeling decadent, maybe some banana chips. Almonds seem to be the mainstay though.

I walked very similar path with muesli. I couldn't find a pre-made muesli that nailed my wants perfectly, so I tried making my own. It was a satisfying process, but the end result always lacked something. After much soul searching, I now eat multigrain Weetbix.

Hmm id love to know a good mix. if i want to snack i currently go to the kitchen and get a packet of biscuts, choc chip/shortbread combo or fruit

Someone on my Facebook just posted this as their status

massive tornado storms across the US, strong solar radiation in mexico, hailstorms in china, earthquakes in japan (on-going and others around the world). weather is going nuts lately, 99.9999% of sheeples reaction? meh.

Then he commented

it's great weather here lately, better weather than our summer - but there are no planes with 3 - 4 hour lasting "contrails" (chemtrails imo).

It's the bluest Adelaide skies I've seen in months.

2012, it's happening - the evidence is building up and if people are stupid enough to not look into it, read about it, etc - that is their problem.

People believe in the big all powerful GOD, who is unproven, yet REAL SHIT happening here is "OH NO CONSPIRACIES". It's a fucking laugh.

:lol :lol :lol

Any time you want me to tell another story about muesli, just holler.

I thoroughly enjoyed your tale. the beginning middle and end were all well structured and very exciting.

please sir may i have some more?

in regards to jellybeans....i was referring to a more healthy mix as the general topic has been. fruit is fairly healthy but all the good stuff gets taken really quickly and we only get 2 deliveries a week.

Jellybeans have sugar, fruit has sugar. Therefore they must both be as healthy as one another.

I like this way of thinking.

lol. Id agree with you if sugar didn't make you fat and give u pimples.

Fruit sugars are ALOT better than the artificial sugars/cane sugars used in candy.

Haha, he's always been a little odd with conspiracy theory stuff. His brother is even worse, he actually firmly believes "chemtrails" and tons of other conspiracies are true.

Most of us down here are on the ball :lol

EDIT: Portal 2 is now just over an hour off from release and Killing Floor is about to tick over, which could make the release any minute now!

Chemtrails are my favourite conspiracy. One of the cornerstones of the theory is that mere water vapour would disappear quickly, therefore it must be a chemtrail. I assume their research into other suspicious clouds, such as clouds, is ongoing.

Well there is a countdown on this site: http://www.aperturescience.com/glados@home/

It will lead to something, many people speculate this is when Portal 2 will unlock.

Oh please, there's plenty to do. Just because you don't know where any of it is, doesn't make the place a retirement home.

When man lives alone for any period of time, his intake of steak and pornography will reach startlingly high levels.

I had suspected this was the case, but I am proving it - day by day.

I have no idea how to use last.fm? I know it is a website and thats about it. I play most of my music just through winamp.

Portal 2 is unlocking for JaseC who is an Aussie, so I guess you can ignore the store page. He got a golden potato though, so plebs will have to wait a bit longer.

Someone on BigFooty said they bought it in Sydney.

I'll probably wait until it's cheap. $90 for a video game? Bah.

I'd probably wait for the Wii version if it was using the PES controls, but the developers are obviously morons and haven't put it in.

You download a plugin which keeps track of what you're listening to and uploads the stats to the website. They've got a plugin for everything now. I use it with my phone (which is also my media player).
