AU 2012 Wii U launch confirmed
It's approved, hopefully early next week. I like new things.Stupid voda is taking so long >.<
I'll be buying a Wii U at launch, I actually play on consoles quite a bit so it will be worth it.
Handhelds on the other hand... don't know why I bother tbh.
I thought the console wars were over, but the Sony All-Stars Thread disproves it
As long as there are brands, there will be brand warriors. Doesn't matter what type of product.

Which is terribly sad. A product can't just be a choice or a preference these days, no, it has to be choosing a side that has to be defended, whilst assaulting those who didn't pick your 'side'.
It's shameful that, from what I can see, people are using what they own as a part of their identity. You are what your own. Some people seem to believe that or judge people based on it. This goes far beyond expressing an opinion.
Of course, not everyone is like this. Some will behave like it in a jovial, mocking, or satirical way, which is perfectly fine. Some don't do it at all.
Maybe I've been hanging out on the Internet for far too long (though I have seen this type of behavior frequently outside it), but this sure seems to be the case for a multitude of things. It occurs to varying degrees everywhere and it's pretty sickening to listen to.

I think its always been a thing. Like ford/holden or Pc/Mac. For some reason people take great pride in their corporate trappings.
I think it always has to some degree also. Now it seems more prevalent and obnoxious. Maybe I've just noticed it more recently.
I mean first we had analogue control copy
then motion control copy (sixaxis)
then motion control copy.... AGAIN
and then mario kart copy... and now.... smash bros copy...
thats at least five copys >_<
They should be called Sphony :/
Me too! We weren't separated at birth, were we? Same age (I think), Ford and Sega diehards. We would've ruled our playground if we were in the same year level. My days on the school playground defending the honour of Sega and Ford suggest it has been around for at least 30 years. Probably a few million more than that, too. It's like sport allegiences.

Man, check out the Forza vs GT thread. Shit got BRUTAL.Oh, I am not saying this is a new thing at all. I'm saying it's gotten worse. Like people can form a dislike for you solely based on your choice of XX (among other things).

The other part that I'm seeing is people using brands they like as part of their identity. Instead of being a hobbyist photographer who likes cycling, a person might describe themselves as a Nikon shooter who likes riding Giant bicycles, accept no substitutes.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=471912Oh shit, thread link? I love fanboy wars.

Yeah, I think allegience to corporations may have become more entrenched...Oh, I am not saying this is a new thing at all. I'm saying it's gotten worse. Like people can form a dislike for you solely based on your choice of XX (among other things).

Its like religion based on actually existing things.
Like flags and religious symbols. At least we're not killing each other over consoles. There's no way it's gotten worse, the internet just concentrates it. I sway between being disgusted by it and thinking it's harmless and hilarious.People have been slapping logos on their stuff for ages.
I thought I was older than you, but...robably a fanboy when I was 1, then... maybe?
Nintendo bigger innovators than Apple.
Basically Apple are Blizzard.
4 dummy, they double every time! How many Gamecubes is it? Three or four?
I'm actually disapoint. Seems to drain the battery a hell of a lot quicker and runs slower. It does look crisper though.Ics update!
soon
Fanboys. Fanboys never change."As a Nintendo fan, this literally makes me sick. SSB is a staple of Nintendo, and it's not right for another company to basically copy and paste the game and call it their own. Hopefully Nintendo will sue or something, because this is so wrong."
lolol
I thought someone said something about first person at one point today.kinda wish it was a third person shooter or something. One thing that wasn't just, our competitor made money making a game so were going to visually make it identical at a glance.
lolI mean first we had analogue control copy
They should be called Sphony :/
Just go look at Gaming side ffs! Any hot topic stuff will be first or second page!Oh shit, thread link? I love fanboy wars.
Having something tangible to point and laugh at/cry with makes arguments a lot more grounded, or at least obvious that the discussion is ridiculous for at least one party. With religion it really is just ideas floating around in the air that people are trying to nail down and protect with all the fires of a thousand angry otters. Its like religion based on actually existing things.
Apple iterate, not innovate.Nintendo bigger innovators than Apple.
