I was extremely surprised that I didn't mind Green Lantern considering it's critical reaction. I didn't like Thor or Captain America though.

Overall The Avengers is a great blockbuster. Amazing action, some great one-liners (and some shit ones) but the story ain't so flash.

edit: Oh and those chips are delish.

Do I need to see all the other films for Avengers to make sense? I already kinda know the characters anyway.

The disc is DRM free install I am pretty sure I read. They also chucked a steam key on the CD inlay for good measure. Also the keys are free to hand out for Steamworks games apparently.

Wait... so, you installed the game free of DRM, but you can also use the key? I would've given you moneys for the keys (ors the Torchlights 2s).

Well I already played the 360 version that I bought at launch. Then when the PC version came out I played my boss's PC version. Then I bought the retail CE and installed it off the disc. Then I realised there was a CD key for Steam on the inlay tray. So now it is in my Steam account and I can earn cheevos! Yay! Also when the disc gets lost or scratched.

It was a gif website that displays full screen gifs, if you click on it has random porn and NSFW gifs. It's still up in the 'Whos in charge of the Playstation store' thread.

I got 3 tity gifs, 1 cock, 1 sex scene and a blowjob gif so far. I playing Russian roulette here lol.

Bizarre. My random refreshes have gotten zero porn whatsoever. Are gifs cached or something once you click them so it 'fixes' the link to a single gif?

Also, my wifes first day back teaching since before the little guy was born (which must be getting close to 13-14months?). Bit nerve racking for me even!

The extra money coming in is going to be useful I can say that much!

Damn, waited for a month to buy it in case of a sale, then last week finally caved in and bought it... Oh well, it's still worth the full price :)

In other Steam news, does anybody want a code to play the first episode of The Walking Dead? Telletale gave me a spare Steam code which I don't need.

Same. I really enjoyed it. They managed to combine the magic of Thor with the technology of everyone else really well. Didn't seem out of place at all.

I did think it was a bit Thor-lite and Black Widow-heavy, but I guess she doesn't have her own movie series so I can deal with that.

And Thor v Hulk was by far the best part. I could have watched that shit for the entirety of the film

i'm only surprised there's really only three female characters in the whole thing and only one of them does anything.

so can anyone explain why a smoke detector with a fresh battery (installed a fortnight ago) would suddenly start going off at 4:30 am for 5 seconds then stopping. Then going on again at irregular intervals. I walked around the house with torch- inside and outside (trying to see if the torchlight would show this mysterious smoke). Checked the crawlspace- nothing. The first detector would also set off the other one but then they'd both stop after 5 seconds. This went on for an hour until i ripped the battery out of the first detector. I believe some of the other houses in the street may have also had there's go off but I'm not sure whether it was set off by mine (I'm guessing they also set each other off like landmines)

any ideas?
