Avatard 3 trailer leak

All these people ragging on Avatar, do you go watch it in 3D HFR IMAX?? Cause if you're simply watching these on your 14" telly or down the local 2D cinema, you're not getting the full effect, these films are simply showcases on what the absolute pinnacle of modern effects laden movies can be, they're no Godfather and he never set out for them to be classics, they are pure entertainment and in IMAX they are fucking mind-blowing to behold, one and done, they ain't the same movie on the home screen.

Although I wish the fuck he would knock em on the head after this one and turn his sights to Terminator but when they keep churning in billions, ya can't blame him
Some of us grew out of drooling over shiny things once we were no longer children

Because people wanted to show off their shiny new Blu-ray players. You like Avatard good for you but your wasting your time trying to convince anyone they are good movies
It sold 6.7 million copies in the first four days, of which 4 million on DVD. There were midnight launches for it. It's the fifth best selling DVD of all time.
Explain the DVD numbers.

100% this

My eyes are already bleeding just thinking about how insanely good these movies look in 3D HFR IMAX

It's not about being a 'classic,' it's about pure, jaw-dropping spectacle that blows everything else out of the water. If you haven't seen them on the big screen, you're missing the full experience

Avatar 2 in HFR stoned af was possibly the wildest single theater viewing I've had aside from Interstellar as a teenager. Don't need to rewatch it, wouldn't even argue it's a great movie but it is the very definition of a movie you go to the theater for and how awesome the theatrical experience can be. Felt like watching a feature-length PS6 cutscene
