Gwyneth Paltrow's superhero/secret agent persona is Gwyneth Paltrow.
I wonder if this is sort of a subtle confirmation that she kept some of the Extremis powers from the end of IM3. (Would make for a fun "ha ha I captured your GF" *immediately punched through the wall* type reveal scene.)

The more I think about this film, the more I'm worried about it. The movie universe has yet to even introduce Hank Pym, let alone Ultron. And the comic event has some really crazy shit in it that simply cannot be done in the more grounded movie universe, plus two of the main characters in that story can't be in the movie because of how the rights were thrown around.

This is going to be one hell of a challenge to pull off, though I have my fingers crossed.

The film only takes the name from the comic event you speak of. The content of the film is totally different from the comic story and is an original piece of work.

Ultron is most likely not related to Pym at all (probably tied to Stark). And the Age of Ultron film has nothing to do with the comic event at all. Whedon confirmed that already.

And thank God for that. From the concept art showing Quicksilver running through a bunch a robots, he might be taking inspiration from Ultron Unlimited. And if he is, that is a VERY good thing. That story was all kinds of awesome.

Even if the Age of Ultron comic were any good (and lord, was it bad), it would be pretty much unadaptable for two reasons:

1. The entire premise hinges on Ultron being a long-established villain, which he obviously isn't in the MCU.
2. The premise of superheroes traveling back in time to avert a post-apocalyptic future is much too similar to Days of Future Past.

I don't even want to hear about the Age of Ultron comics again. What a fucking shit show.

It starts really strong, maybe a bit too much, but as soon as time travel is introduced everything goes down the shitter at Taco Bell speed.

God damn. Bendis should be fucking banished from Marvel's offices.

Chris Evans may have dropped a minor Avengers spoiler:

One jacket appears briefly at the start of The Winter Soldier, when former soldier Steve Rogers pays a visit to a present-day Captain America exhibition at the Smithsonian. “They were great jackets” he says enthusiastically. “I loved the fit and the look. One of them may even have come home with me.” And then he mentions that he’s just been measured up for another period jacket for his next Avengers film. Does that suggest the Captain will return to his past in the The Avengers: Age Of Ultron? Evans looks briefly agonised, realising that he might be confirming an unauthorised plot detail ahead of that film’s 2015 release. “Maybe,” he says coyly.

so if pym didnt create ultron in this universe what is the ant man film story

Ant Man is happening after Age of Ultron as the first Phase 3 movie. They are keeping us in the dark on the film for the most part (as they always do) but we know that there are multiple Ant Men (Pym as well as Scott Lang) in the film. Hank Pym is being played by Michael Douglas, which means he is older and won't be the "current" Ant Man. It's entirely possible that Pym will retroactively be made to have had something to do with Ultron since the character will exist in the timeline before Age of Ultron. We're just not entirely sure yet. All Marvel has officially said on the matter is that it doesn't have to be a creation of Pym just because it was that was in the comics...but that doesn't mean it isn't either. He could also indirectly be a part of it, or not part of it at all. Fans have speculated that Ultron is a product of either Tony Stark or SHIELD in some way, although those have yet to be confirmed. What is confirmed is that Paul Bettany, who plays JARVIS, is going to be The Vision in Age of Ultron.

Yeah it sounds kind of similar to that. I think the gist of the plot is we see Hank Pym in action during the 60s, then flashforward to the present where Scott Lang tries to steal his suit and ends up becoming the new Ant-Man.

Looks like Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be bleaching his hair after all.

Maybe it has something to do with his character arc? Spoiler:
In the Winter Soldier mid credits scene he has long brown hair,
In the concept art he has short brown hair and in that set photo it's short and bleached.

Still cannot believe we're getting an Ultron movie.

I'm going to be saying this every time Marvel does anything. In fact, ever since witnessing that long single tracking shot from The Avengers (you know the one), I've just been in a perpetual state of disbelief and nerdy bliss that I'll never recover from.

I swear, nothing in my life has come as close to fulfilling my geeky childhood fantasies as Marvel's work on these movies has.

I definitely hope they do another one. And in general, I hope there's more instances of them playing off each others powers like Iron Man and Cap's sheild.

There will be some ultimate team up attack against Ultron. Just one big glorious shot of them all having to work together to stop him.

Still a shame Stark didn't use his knowledge of what Thor's lightningstrike does to his suit. Would've made a damn fine spectacle to use that on one of those Leviathans.

Shoot, imagine the people who have felt like this when IRON MAN was made. I never thought that would happen.

I grew up making so many drawings and cardboard Iron Man armors for Halloween. This sequence was better than porn for me:

Hrrrrrng those pics of him with the robe on make me think of Doom. If only.

Yeah, I hope we'll see the day that Marvel gets the film rights back to the Fantastic Four characters, just to see the Avengers going up against Doom.

*Fake edit* Actually, I also want to see the Annihilation arc come into play as well (Silver Surfer, Galactus, Super Skrull, etc.).

I assume the Scarlet Witch gets an actual costume later in the film, that scene just looks like she's in civilian clothes.

I would never kill another human being, but I would deeply consider killing to see Richard Rider pull Annihilus' digestive tract out through his mouth at the end of a certain movie trilogy.

I think there was talk of her getting a hood or something.

It seems like they are taking inspiration from X-men Evolution Wanda.

I often find myself humming the song that plays during that shot. Would it make you mad to learn that shot almost didn't make it into the film? They almost fucked up but didn't. They almost failed to give that to us.
