Awesomenauts free weekend finally giving me a chance to play the PC version of the game. It's crazy how much more natural the game feels on Mouse+Keyboard and characters like Voltar and such are just way more enjoyable to play. Just leveling up and unlocking some of the new chars one by one and went a couple rounds with Gnaw today as well, super fun character. Definitely gonna have to pick this game up.
So that's what the update was for. I should tell some of my friends about this.
Have fun with Voltar's nerfs, btw. He's still as deadly as ever, he just takes time now.
Bought this yesterday, logged 6 hours already even though I had to look after my nephew last night and par of today. It's been forever since I've been this enamored with a game! Froggy G's killing spree theme is so great! One of the best game soundtracks this year for sure!
Awesomenauts is now Steamplay with Mac. For those unaware of Steam if you own the PC version, you own the Mac version free of charge (and vice versa)

Hope they also offer DLC VA cause TotalBiscuit's VA is really annoying.http://sphotos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/17908_467091046666530_724498339_n.jpg
I think they made they fish ugly on purpose so we can buy a skin. At least we get free Awesomenauts! The game is the gift that keeps on giving.

I actually love the voice of the new character, right up my alley and totally a character I want to use. Is he already released in game? How is he?

I believe so. The title card at the end of the trailer only has the Steam logo and it seems like they've stopped console patches due to certification fees, MS patch size limits, and their publisher for the console version going kaput.I take it Vinnie and Spike are PC exclusives like the last few DLC characters? :/
Joost said:The console patching situation
There have been a lot of questions about whether another console patch is coming, after July's patch which already added Coco and Derpl for free. We cannot give a definite yes or no to that, but what we can say, is that right now we are not working on a console patch, and it would be very difficult to do another console patch. We hope explaining why will make our console players understand the situation a bit better. We cannot go into some details, because agreements with publishers and consoles require confidentiality, but we hope this gives you an idea.
Here's an outline of the problems:
- Console patching/DLC is very expensive (although the reasons are more complex than simply that a certain console manufacturer may or may not charge a certain amount of money).
- Console patching/DLC is not just expensive, it also has some very severe technical limitations on certain consoles. We cannot go into details, but creating a console patch with the amount of changes we have would just be incredibly complex and thus a lot of work. For example, all the characters were remade for the PC version to allow for free-aim and we would need to use the new versions to get Raelynn working on console, making the patch very big, which is problematic on certain consoles.
- Steam patching is ridiculously easy. The patching there is so easy and inexpensive that it would be almost weird not to patch on Steam. Seriously, Valve did a fantastic job.
- The game sold fine on console, but it took us three years to make the game and thus a lot of money. Some people say we should spend our money to create console patches, but as a company we also need to make back our investment for development of the game in the first place.
- There needs to be a certain balance between how much it costs us to do a patch, and how much extra money through sales/DLC that patch makes. Because the whole patching story is so expensive on console, it is difficult to make it work financially.
- The Steam version is owned entirely by Ronimo, while the console version is done together with a publisher (DTP). That makes the finances and practicalities a lot more complex, and DTP being insolvent right now also adds more complexity to the whole situation. We cannot comment on any details, but let's just say that it is a lot simpler to make business decisions for the Steam version.

Hopefully my PC can run the Steam version.
OS:Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
Processor:Any processor with 2 Cores
Memory:2 GB RAM
Graphics:ATI or Nvidia Videocard with at least 512MB
You don't really need a particulary good PC to run it. Its after all a 2D game. Any PC from the last 10 years can run it.
With Steams Big Picture mode you can put Awesomenauts on a laptop, hook that laptop up with a HDMI cable to your TV and then hook a 360 pad up to it.
As you can see its not graphical intensive at all. These are the recommend specs, the minimum only requires a 64MB graphics card lol.
My PC doesn't have a video card at all. :/
Every PC has a video card including laptops. It's just a interated video card.
Go to this website and see if you can run Awesomenauts.

Sorry, your computer does not meet the minimum specifications required to run this product.
But then again, all of the little circles have green check marks through them. :/
Thanks for the link though.
There's also quality control options. My laptop (which isn't a gaming one by any means and is already a couple years old) can run it pretty well on Medium settings.
