These are the people who have expressed interest, not necessarily at $30 a head though. I think we'll stick with a $30 pot per person.

If I'd trust anyone, it'd probably be Raoul Duke or Astrolad, as they're the fucking assholes who beat me out every year, I have never finished above 3rd I believe, as I always fall behind these two jerks. :(

Anywho, they're also probably the two biggest Fantasy junkies on the board, and wouldn't fuck around with the cash...or we'd have to kill you. :p

We could do Yahoo like we do every year.

Also, would it be a winner takes all league, or top 3 win prizes?

Let's say it's 12 people. 360 bucks, 200 to the winner, 100 to 2nd place, 60 to 3rd.

Or we could just give the winner all 360.

So much to think about, so much time...:po

I can think of a few people off the top of my head who could want to join (unless they've mentioned otherwise here) so that we can definitely get to 12-

Sven
J2Cool
Boomer

Probably quite a few others too, though Sven was definitely the first name that popped to mind.

Yeah, I'll have a talk with his skinny Dell Dude/Viking Hat wearing freakish self in a few days...although he'll probably see this before I get to him.

Too busy with work lately to set anything up. If anyone wants to take control, feel free.

As far as setting something up goes, I'm more than able to......I'm willing to send whatever PMs are needed and create whatever league, it's just that if we're going to do something bigger than the usual yahoo free league, we should come to a decision as to where it is played, if there are entry fees, and if so, how will they be managed. Of course roto/h2h, and other rules questions need to be answered, but those are the most important questions.

hell, if it wasnt for my astronomical bills that i have to pay or some guys are gonna come "visit" me i'd join in a second. :( alas, i can not and will not seek to join a pay league. besides, beating on miguel is getting old. ;) but seriously, right now i just cant make that type of commiment with home, utilities, loans, and other shall we say more "personal" expenditures. however, if you guys are still willing to do the usual free league i'll join.

I definitely would love to play in the GA league if there is room. I am an avid fantasy baseball player and put tons of time into it. I won't be one of those owners who leaves halfway through the season. :)

I think a pool would be great. Anywhere from $20-100 a head is fine with me.

No see, in a pay league we want to encourage owners to leave halfway through the season. In fact, a preference for doing so is one of the qualifications for joining.

I know they're just something someone did for fun, but I don't like them. The jay looks ridiculous and those colors are too bland. Our third uniform's bad enough as is.

If you're wondering where Carlos Lee is, the answer is Panama. The Brewers' website is reporting that the outfielder, who Milwaukee acquired this offseason for outfielder Scott Podsednik and righthander Luis Vizcaino, won't arrive at spring training until Saturday afternoon because he doesn't have a visa yet. Lee will miss the team's first full squad workout and an address by new owner Mark Attanasio.

Beer, BJ, fellow Jays fans, I'm afraid you'll have to hold the fort down for home gameday updates, because I just got myself some Jays season tickets! :D :D 81 games. :)

How much did you have to spend?
Currently at the top of the 9th inning against Cleveland, Jays are leading 12-7. Nice to see some offence but the pitching is just as poor. I have a feeling Koch is responsible for some of those runs. I'd say scratch him and give Chacin a spot in the bullpen

How much did I spend? Well, that's classified ;p More than I intended to, that's for sure. The seats are in section 128...."field level infield"

Too bad today's game wasn't on the radio locally.....I hear Gabe Gross did good though, Koch shouldn't make our team, and I still think it was a stupid signing, but at least our AAA club sounds like they're going to do good. :D

What are you going to do with you free tickets you signed up from Rogers? :D (btw they should be arriving this month)

Gross hit a 2 run homer today..that's what, his 3rd in 4 games? Too bad Cat and Johnson are playing left field already...

edit: you can watch Jays play on thursday (against Yankees) and saturday (against Twins) on Sportsnet this week :D :D

I considered that the past 2 years when it was 81 bucks for 81 games but I didn't do it because I wasn't sure I could make it to enough games, I'd have to go like every time I had a day off from work

And I don't think I could even handle going to more than 6 or 7 games

Whoa

You bought REAL season tix

Are you nuts?

Nuts? I'm just a diehard fan, which this team needs more of. You live in Thornhill, right? I can literally walk to the skydome, so that makes it a ton easier...also I was able to sucker someone in to splitting the cost, so I paid for mine and he paid for his. I've always wanted to be a season ticket holder, and I just finally snapped. The free tickets from rogers? Well, they're not that good to begin with, but I'll probably give em away. You want extras Beer?

Appreciate the offer fifty but I've got a bunch of extra tickets myself (from friends and family who signed up also). Sell them at bars for like 2 bucks each :p

goddamit, Griese!
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Tony Torcato had a two-run single and the San Francisco Giants threw out four runners at the plate in a 6-5 win over the Chicago White Sox on Monday.

Joe Borchard, trying to make the team as a reserve outfielder, homered in the second and sixth innings for the White Sox.

After the game, Borchard found a $100 bill awaiting him at his locker, not knowing who it was from.

He later learned A. J. Pierzynski had offered $100 to any of his new White Sox teammates that hit a home run off Brett Tomko.

Tomko, along with several other San Francisco players, labeled Pierzynski a clubhouse "cancer" last season, after the catcher joined the Giants as a free agent.

The Cubs' hopes of finally wining a World Series may have taken a hit on Wednesday. Star pitcher Kerry Wood was forced to leave the team's Cactus League game against the Rangers because of a slightly strained shoulder, reports SportsTicker. "He had no pain in his shoulder and just basically he felt tight," trainer Mark O'Neal told MLB.com after the game. "We said if you go out there and don't feel completely normal, let's just shut it down and take it easy. At the end of the day when we saw him afterward, he basically felt as if he hadn't pitched and was pretty comfortable." The right-hander had pitched two innings on Wednesday before leaving during warm-ups in the third. "The inning before [in the second], there was a little tightness in the shoulder," Wood told MLB.com. "I finished the inning and everything felt great, fine. I came in and sat down and everything felt great. [Pitching coach Larry Rothschild] said if I felt anything at all to let him know," Wood said. "There was a little bit of tightness and it's too early to be messing around with anything like that, so we decided it would be best to shut it down for the day."

:lol :lol :lol he's an injury machine. he'll miss at least another 2 months this season.
