did you see those pics of Pedro lifting weights from yesterday? Contragulations, Mets fans, your team just spent $50 million on a guy with the physique of my grandma.

Yeah, we all know Clemens, Schilling, Colon, Johnson, etc have super toned bodies.... wait till Perdro shuts down the entire sport with a 1.02 ERA.

They will eat FREEDOM and LIBERTY, and they will like it. Or we'll shoot them!

What does his physique have to do with his ability to pitch?

Lose? When did this happen,do you see the future, cause all I see is our two ball clubs falling apart.

:lol :lol

All three of our teams fall in either Central division, and all three of our teams are set to disappoint us, and we know this, but we will each watch every game we can. Sad, isn't it?

Yea it is pretty damn sad :(

Thanks dude!

I just ordered 2 tickets to a game against Baltimore, and tomorrow I'll use my relatives' rogers numbers to score some more. :D

damn, that's a sweet fucking deal.

US Cellular should offer that deal for Chi Sox tickets. Then I wouldn't have to spend as much money. I was at 24 Sox games last year....jesus christ.

the only drawback to being a boston fan is that you have to give your firstborn for a ticket...to the bleacher seats

so is ebay the cheapest/best spot for sports tix?

im 99% certain me and my brother are gonna get opening day tickets but they're $100 each for BLEACHER seats on ebay. just wanna see my other options. these online ticket brokers charge more than that for tickets.

those tier seats are garbage, id rather be with the bleacher creatures than have tissues up nose all game long.

thank you though :)

you missed a couple of claps. and you know i'm right. ;) freaking steinbrenner. if it wasnt for him i'd be able to enjoy my team's world series wins. but no, he has to push the envelope and empty the farm system and break the piggy bank all because he suffers from bipolar disorder or something......

It's true, it's true... I miss having Ted Turner as the Braves owner. He spent ENOUGH on the Braves. I know we'd have a hundred million or so payroll if he was the owner. Plus, he was often drunk when interviewed and would say some awesome things.

i've found that ebay tends to be a bit cheaper than scalpers, in chicago at least.
cost me $220 for two tickets to one of the chi sox/cubs games last year. worth every penny though.

scalpers/brokers were about $30 more for the same-area seats

Today (Thursday Feb 17th) is the first day of Fantasy Baseball 2005. All major sites (ESPN, CBS, Yahoo) will be up by the end of the day. I just wanted to bring discussion back toward the idea of a GA league. We had discussed quite a few different ideas, and I made my loyalties to ESPN known, but I'm open for any and all ideas now that we can actually do something.

And to really get the ball rolling, here is Mig's post that summed up most of what we had talked about earlier in the thread. Not to say that that's binding.....the most important part of the post that no one can debate is the list of names we had.
