I am pretty LTTP, and have just started Batman Arkham City I loved Asylum, and now this feels incredible, being let loose in a free roam, criminal infested part of town is a cool idea. I do have some questions though.
I have only got as far as tracking the Jokers signal, so obviously not very far at all, im feeling pretty overwhelmed by all the gadgets I have that I dont know how to use, are they slowly introduced as I go through the story, or is this it now? Its been a while since I played Arkham Asylum, and the way the game suddently throws you at it felt really jarring.
Pretty early on, it sounded like the Riddler or someone was talking about something (in the courthouse) but I totally missed it by stepping through a door, and I couldnt trigger the audio again when going back in, have I missed something vital? Should I stop and listen when people talk while free roaming? Or will I get other chances to hear it all?
As I fight people, I see that unless I use my unlocks as I get them, that the game decides to keep the rank up text flashing, at the moment im quite happy to let the unlocks pile up until I figure out whats useful, is there any way to disable that part of the UI? An even better question is, what should I focus on? What would people suggest I unlock?
Can I save the game manually? I.e. if I travel to a part of town near my next objective, can I save right there? Or is the only way to save the game by completing stuff?
How exactly do the side missions work? I have only just started the game and have already trigged a couple, what happens if I fail a side mission, the one with the telephones and the time limit seems like something I wanted to deliberately fail initially just to do it later, but I was too scared I would close off that side mission if I did fail?
Am I missing anything vital by not having the Catwoman DLC? (I have only rented the game
) - How long will the game take to go through? I have the game for 2 weeks, should I rush? Or can I comfortably play through the game in that time? I have about 2 hours a day to play, which is like 20 hours over 2 weeks (give or take). Seems like a long enough time?
Thanks!
