I'm sorry, but Luthor ruined the end of that trailer with the red capes are coming

Why would you put something so lame in this trailer

Grapple and desert scenes with batman looked amazing. Really seems like the comic batman we've been waiting for.

Wonder women didn't look bad. Her punching scene looked a little off though.

Superman the GOAT.

Love the darker vibes. The film/trailer doesn't need Marvels "gotcha!" comedy.

They seem to be cramming a lot of movie into this movie. Batman origin, the whole Batman vs Superman thing, Superman court cases, Wonderwoman, Lex. Surprised they didn't actually do the two movie thing.

Do people expect Batman v Superman to be rivals for a bit and then realize they have to defeat Lex together?

What is the thing Jesse Eisenberg is saying about red capes

Yeah Alfred basically says Superman is not your enemy, so that will be a thing.

And Lex is saying more aliens/supermans are coming, someone needs to defend humans against them. That's how I see it anyway.

edit: Also, is Clark still a thing or not? It's not like people couldn't tell he's Supe right?

Every single scene in that trailer where Superman was with Batman. Superman could have ended Batmans life in less then a heartbeat. The only reason Batman is alive is because Superman choses it.

Love seeing the Robin suit. Even if we never get a Robin in this universe; it's nice to see he existed & part of the mythos instead of being shunned or ignored as other filmmakers have done.....or made just plain silly.

"You don't owe these people anything."

Especially after Clark saved their asses from extinction, humanity in the MoS verse sound like a bunch of ungrateful shitheads.

I mean to be fair, Clark being there is the reason Zod wanted to fuck the place up anyways

So this is on the same universe as the last Superman movie but the Nolan Batman movies are seperate?

Bats looks kinda ugly. Actually the whole film looks kinda ugly , which is my biggest surprise.

Did they write a script based on fan-criticisms of Mos ?

Supes is like 3rd wheel on the trailer.

Disappointed.
He's literally the central conversation piece through most of that trailer. People reacting to him, people's thoughts on him, people talking to him...

Best thing about it is the end of career Batman. I'm assuming Joker killed Robin?
Yeah. The question is which one. One would hope it's Jason Todd, but there are rumors
it was Dick Grayson... which would rob us of Nightwing, Red Hood..
. I just really hope they don't fuck that stuff up.

I get that Superman broke Batman's building and that's why Batman wants to fight, but why is Batman in the desert in post-apocalyptic gear wearing a trench coat over his Batsuit fighting para-military forces with Superman's symbol as their insignia? It doesn't make any sense.
Nightmare sequence? Or like... you can wait the year for the movie to come out and see it for yourself.

Of course. I was trying to think what connection "Red capes" had with "The British are coming!".

They're both red? I mean I guess you can extrapolate it to say that Superman is like the British (har de har) in that he's coming to oppress them with his military might.

I don't care about Lex's hair because he will probably change over the course of the movies, but I do agree it's just not really Lex at all in terms of characterization, and I think this change is unnecessary. Lex is basically supposed to be evil Bruce Wayne.

Wonder Woman shouldn't be in this though, silly character.

But isn't Lex's character defined by Superman? This is still young Lex and Superman has only been active for like a year it seems. I'm not a comic reader but from what I've seen in the DCAU this interpretation of Lex seems pretty faithful to the characters core.

Oh wow, well doesn't look bad. What with that Robin suit through? I thought this was the start of Batman. Did he get a robin pretty early who had fallen so fast?

Zod only came to Earth because Kal El sent off the distress signal. Supes fucked up big time in MoS.

Yeah, I was wondering if maybe it was a 'racism against aliens' kind of thing, but I'm probably just reading into it too much.

Saved them from a crisis he's partially responsible for. Humanity never asked for their planet to be home to an interstellar alien from a planet of morally bankrupt aliens who destroyed themselves.

It would be really funny if people didn't realize that was Superman

So are Lois and Clark an item? I'm assuming since she knows his identity we're basically setting them up as a couple immediately in this universe?

Because much like an older Batman, I approve of this "post-origin" style world. Who knows, we might have Nightwing, Damian, Superboy, etc, all hanging around too.
