Jesse Eisenberg is the least of this movies problem. He'll do fine.

Seems very much like a shared movie, imo.

Of course it's shared. I'm just saying it seems to be more Superman's film with Batman, as opposed to a 50/50 split or whatever.

That's how it played to me. It's a direct sequel to Man of Steel, a lot more direct than I'd thought it would be, and the focus is not as much on Batman as I'd assumed considering his placement in the prior marketing, and his name going first in the title. Batman has a focus, yeah. Batman has a POV, and we're being let in on it quite a bit. But this is a Superman movie, dealing with Superman problems. Batman is one of those problems for part of the film.

I don't care about Lex's hair because he will probably change over the course of the movies, but I do agree it's just not really Lex at all in terms of characterization, and I think this change is unnecessary. Lex is basically supposed to be evil Bruce Wayne.

Wonder Woman shouldn't be in this though, silly character.

Batcave looks cozy

It actually looks like the Batcave and not a cave with a black cube inside it.

Now where's that giant penny and robot T-Rex at?

Given how it's over water I hope we see some kind of Batboat in there in the background even if it isn't used.

So mythic and epic, but with one misstep:

They should have introduced Diana halfway through with an equally epic intro. "It's not just about these two" kind of scene. Instead of three or four cameo shots.

also, who was the hot skinny Asian businesswoman halfway through?

Mercy Graves

I'm thrilled we got to see new scenes from the film.

But the trailer as a whole seemed disjointed. Maybe it was the editing or the music? But it has left me jarred.

Trailer was fucking amazing. Gives us some idea what the movie is about without showing everything. I am so pumped.

I see where you are coming from. Yeah, it does seem to be a Superman vs. Problems movie, especially considering Lex.

They seem to be cramming a lot of movie into this movie. Batman origin, the whole Batman vs Superman thing, Superman court cases, Wonderwoman, Lex. Surprised they didn't actually do the two movie thing.

Do people expect Batman v Superman to be rivals for a bit and then realize they have to defeat Lex together?

What is the thing Jesse Eisenberg is saying about red capes

She isn't saying "he son, who cares about saving lives, go kill everything" and more "don't care what these people want or say about you, you only have to be accountable to yourself and your beliefs". At least that's how I took it.

Its probably just cut to make her sound cold. But her saying "or be none of it. You don't own this world a thing. You never did" sounds exactly like what Pa kent would say. We'll see. That part is the only part i did not like in the trailer

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
"20 years in Gotham, how many good guys are left?"

I liked this sense of history. Better than Batman only being in action for like, a year in the TDK trilogy.

They dont really have a chance to establish batman's origin though. They have to catch up marvel, who's already far ahead now

That explosion is definetly not coming from Wonder Woman, to those who are wondering.

In fact, her scene are 3 different scenes spliced into one. In the second one she is giving a punch, while in the third scene she is defending herself from bullets or rays with her bracelets.

Lacks the power of instantaneous movement
Just watched it on my big screen at home for the first time. This may be my movie of forever!!!

Oh my God. It looks amazing. All my reservations and worries are gone. I'm legitimately 100% pumped for this. The Bruce Wayne flashbacks to Man of Steel are looking great.

That face and the one before with him screaming into the phone are so good. He's fucking seething. Supes gon' get it. I guess it seems like Wayne was at Metropolis during the MoS battle, but since he had already retired from being Batman there was nothing he could do because his shit was in the batcave. I can buy that as a reason for why he wants to end Superman. He experienced the destruction first hand.

Love the shot of Robin's suit. I wonder if there's a Nightwing roaming around in this universe.

"You don't owe these people anything."

Especially after Clark saved their asses from extinction, humanity in the MoS verse sound like a bunch of ungrateful shitheads.

I really like how WB actually released the trailer after showing it at SDCC. Beats waiting for days for a low-quality leak.
