Battlefield™ 2042 is available on November 19, 2021 with early access starting November 12, 2021.

Get your first look at the 5 remaining Specialists of 10 coming at launch: Navi Rao, Santiago "Dozer" Espinoza, Emma "Sundance" Rosier, Ji-Soo Paik and Constantin "Angel" Anghel.
Inspired by Battlefield's traditional Classes, Specialists have a unique Speciality and Trait that defines their playstyle, with the rest of the loadout being fully customizable.
Select your role on the battlefield and build your squad through the new Specialist system. Choosing and equipping your Specialist allows you to build synergies within your squad and empower your team to take on any battle situation!
Battlefield 2042 is made up of three distinct multiplayer experiences - All-Out Warfare features the next generation of fan-favorite modes Conquest and Breakthrough; Battlefield Portal allows players to discover battles from the past, present and future as well as to creating and change the rules of war; while Battlefield Hazard Zone brings a tense, squad-focused survival experience. That chick is going to be a problem for littlebirds.

JiSoo in Infantry maps(engagements) is gonna be no joke.
Damage her and she spots you, once her "Ult" is charged she sees you through walls?

Metro 2042 - You know its coming dont @me.....with Dozer is going to be an absolute dream.
Have the medic or a second Dozer with you and B flag will be easy work.

Literally no one is going to use Angel.
Hes like the true No Randos character, Revives and provides Ammo....something BF randos are known NOT to do.
 
God, this is not battlefield at all. Wtf are they doing. Wallhacks especially to see enemies does NOT belong in a battlefield game. Spotting is different because you know the general area someone may be in, not highlighting them so I can see exactly where they are. Fucking hell Dice.
 
Sorry for those saying this isn't Battlefield. I'll be busy enjoying the game at launch. I had tons of fun in the beta and I can't wait to play the full game. The fact is that there are no other games like this with modern combat coming out any time soon so BF 2042 is definitely my jam.

The Specialists system as constructed in the beta was trash. Now you're layering it with this lol. I'm going to play it but Portal long term is probably going to kill the other modes as it stands right now(as long as DICE don't somehow screw it up somehow).

Not a fan of specialists in general but could deal with them having equipment and tools which are realistic ....

Sadly now everyone is spider-man or batman
 
bullit proof shields where the most hated and op shit in counterstrike, good luck trying to balance that.

The heli grenades are great, we need stuff to kill off helicopters far more quick and make them useless. So they wont'dominate the battlefield.
 
I was so excited for this game, especially when they reveal the portal and seeing some classic maps returning, cancelled my pre-order after the atrocious beta. Now I'm probably going to be waiting for a nice price drop. This looks like it could be fun if it was grounded and not over the top with stupid abilities, or if it at least had proper classes instead of specialists.

That feedback was how many weeks ago? They've already designed the whole game around this concept. Did you really think they were going to shit can the base system of the game in the span of a month?

this is a sandbox game with vehicles, rockets and big ass maps tho so comparing it to CS is not the best
 
I'm all over this. But if you have that much of a problem with specialists.....Play Portal, you can use all the old classes and disable specialists.

I'm good with both.

Can't wait to form a medic squad with a shield bro up front to protect us. Hide behind shield to heal and even change your loadout if needed.

We really didn't need more strength for Anti-Air despite the fact that it looks really cool.

The hacker guy hacking world elements looks extremely limited to that scripted setup they showed in the video.

I don't look forward to dealing with shields, I know they're in BF 4 but they weren't very widely used.

I don't think this is what BF needed and anybody playing these games even remotely wanted.

The characters look goofy as fuck. The Mackay dude from the beta looks like Ernest goes to Jail or someshit.
The specialists overall look like Fortnite crap to me.

The fact they are now trying to release mini videos showing the UI and endgame screens show how much damage control is being attempted.
All they needed to do mas modernize BF3/4 with higher player counts and new maps. How could they fuck this up so bad?

You can still play Portal mode. Which will allow BF3, BF4, and other past titles to be re-made essentially with some old and new maps.

I'm sure there will be plenty of custom servers.
 
Looks good to me, going into this with an open mind... i feel like they will be changing things after release depending on reception by the fans. Maybe. I saw a twitter post today where the devs showed that because of feedback they are moving the kill feed to the center of the screen (as a small example) ... the specialist thing really doesn't bother me though.
 
Is there an Open Beta? I was directed to the game page from the Specialist video and can't connect to anything.

. ..also those faces on the specialists are not great. They're WD: Legion bad honestly.

I enjoyed it, had some good fun my with mates in the beta and we are picking it up. I don't really care about the specialists vs classes debate, I'll take it for what it is 🤷‍♂️
 
Going to hold off on this for 6 months to see where classes/specialists land over time. BF4 is well active on PC so have been playing that and enjoying it in BF2042's stead. Really hope they can sort out some of the issues I have, but if they don't no problem. They have a vision and I'm personally not onboard with it as is right now.
 
why gadgets i hate gadgets, i just want to kill people player v player, not lose because i got wallhacked or a tracking grenade follows me to my helicopter etc etc, screw this game, i want to win gunfights, nothing else.
