Battlefield 2042 | Open Beta Trailer

Let's GOOOOOOOOO!

I think a lot of people are looking forward to this beta a lot more than Vanguard.. The Vanguard beta was so shit in pretty much every aspect, it looked like shit, it sounded like shit and it played like shit! This is coming from a COD fan.

Very excited to try this. COD is pretty meh this year.

Haven't played a Battlefield game in ages (didn't like Battlefield 5). Hopefully, this will make up for this year.

Man i have to admit that the game looks dope. But i'm downright awful at multiplayer shooters so i don't know how if i should get it at full price

I redeemed my beta key from Best Buy but it didn't preload. It's not appearing in my owned games either.

Should I still be good?

So, I still got to play with people who camp hardcore style in corners and use aim bots aim assist? What's really sad is that camping in FPS isn't looked down upon on console. It's for noobs and people who suck.
Not this again.... Ambush/guerilla are real and proven tactics. Why it have to be looked down upon? Because it ruined your K/D?

Well CoD and Halo have both been absolute duds so lets hope 2042 delivers.

Otherwise Bloodhunt will do nicely. Almost level 100 in the battlepass and am still enjoying that loads.

I thought people liked the halo beta?

i built my new pc last week specifically for this game. the 3080 i bought came with this game due to a promo, hopefully that counts as a "pre-order". very hyped for this; please don't let me down DICE. 1 and 5 were not good!

just some clarification on early access from the FAQ:

When is the Open Beta available?

Pre-load begins on October 5 (at 07:00 UTC on all platforms), but not everyone will be able to access the Open Beta at the same time. Early access is available October 6–7 (start playing at 07:00 UTC all platforms on 10/06) for anyone who has pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 or is an EA Play member. General access begins on October 8 (at 07:00 UTC on all platforms), at which point anyone can join the fight.

Upgraded to gold edition yesterday. It is bf4 bigger and better with real next gen feel, gigantic map, climate change, many effects and destructions, awesome vegetation. They nailed.

Battlefield 2042 finally gave players a crack at it's open beta and the conversation has been mixed. There's a lot of good, a lot of bad, and some real ugly parts that we decided to break down to see how the Open Beta actually went, and if Battlefield maybe even needs another delay?

Battlefield 2042 wrapped up its open beta to mixed results. There were a lot of positives to the all-out warfare Conquest mode, which players from all over the world got a chance to sink their teeth into, but unfortunately, there were also issues. From bugs and visual glitches to poor performance optimization across multiple platforms, the 2042 beta definitely had its share of problems.

In this video, we break down some of the most important factors of just where the beta shined, and where it suggests that the full game will seriously need another look. Key components like the excellent destruction are addressed, as well as a look at some of the newest gameplay additions such as the vehicle call-in system and "plus" attachment system.

Your mileage may vary with how you felt on each of these components so definitely let us know in the comments which parts of the beta you enjoyed or didn't quite feel were up to your expectations. Be sure to subscribe to GameSpot cause we're approaching the release date for Battlefield 2042 real soon!
