Agreed. I think they will do just fine and the delay was worth it and the free maps vs paid DLC makes more sense to keep the community together vs BF4's situation. With free maps, Portal and cross platform play, I think this will be just fine long term, it just has more going for it long term then BF4 did and BF4 turned out just fine.
Unless you can see the future, how do you know 2042 isn't also salvageable? This is why I don't care for such hot takes, it makes it sound like NOTHING can be done, yet references BF4...one of the worst launches for a BF title and after almost a year of many updates, it turned out to be one of the most beloved BF titles.
So I never fucking make some judgement on shit like this launch day, let alone BEFORE the official large scale launch man. Using that logic I would have never kept up with BF4 and put 400 plus hours in one of my favorite BF titles. No online game is just having some perfect launch with zero issues. I believe they will be just fine and gamers tend ot exaggerate too much.
To add bigger maps cause folks hated small maps
To add a higher player count based on people asking for it
To add back bots
To add back server option
Tells me clearly they are listening, reacting and taking in feed back, to then fucking pretend a fucking scoreboard won't be fixed sounds silly, hyperbolic and exaggerative in comparison.
A Battlefield 2042 Breakthrough update has gone live, giving the attacking team a much better chance of actually winning a game.

Battlefield 2042 Specialist Dozer has been fixed and added back to the game's roster ahead of its November 19th launch day.

So....you just don't have much evidence that this won't be fixed or they won't fix it or anything weird like that, you simply want that to be the narrative.
Just stop man. I get you might want to say differences from BF4 to 2042 at launch and its debatable, but relax with this fake shit like "not want to fix most of this" where the fuck did you read that? What evidence do you have of this?
We literally have updates RIGHT NOW regarding the fucking game, so I've yet to see any comment from DICE like "we not funa fix dis" lol Debate what the launch is sure, but don't lie about stuff like that. It makes it hard to even believe anything else you post when the thing you are saying is so wild, facts simply don't support any of it.
They don't want to fix the game that is currently being updated RIGHT NOW as of today? Ummmm ooooooook, not sure how that works given they are doing the thing you are saying they don't want to do lol
A reminder of how BF4 launched. I forgot about some of those issues as I don't play its single player, but I now recall the whole save corruption thing and other issues. I also forgot about that lawsuit too.
With Call of Duty from Activision Blizzard getting repetitive, Electronic Arts had a golden opportunity to take its Battlefield series to new heights. But serious technical problems have rendered the game unplayable for some, and a class action suit against the company only adds to its problems.

If anything, I want you to look at the comment to see what was being stated in 2013. I love BF4 too bud, but I love what it is now after years of updates, I don't just pretend it was perfect. Its why I disregard MOST of what is being stated about 2042. It was also delayed to skip next gen launch, it also has free maps, it also has Portal. I'm more then fine with what they are doing now and believe they can patch and update this no different then any other BF title. I've never played any BF title that was just broke FOR LIFE or something, BF4 was the worst launch and if it can become a fan favorite after all those updates, give DICE the same respect given regarding BF4 to 2042. Let them polish up the game over time as this is a online game.
Have a good one.
