Battlefield 4 PC performance thread

I'm having the same issue, 2 580GTX in SLI. Did you fixed it?

I have the 331.65 drivers. Even If I turn everything to normal, the stutter is still there, so I'm guessing is an SLI issue, not that my cards can't handle it.

I was having this issue with a 670 even if I put it on Low settings. I know it's been said a ton already, but after upgrading to Windows 8/8.1, it fixed it and I'm at ~90fps now on Ultra settings. Upgrade if you can!

Really? Well ok then, time to snatch that Win8 copy from work!

Edit: Alright, I found the fix for Windows 7. Editing some values in the registry did the trick. It runs super smooth now. http://forum.cakewalk.com/Windows-7-amp-Core-Parking-a-better-way-to-Turn-It-OFF-m1861804.aspx

Anyways, I'm upgrading to Windows 8.

90fps? Seriously?
I'm on win7, 670 4gb,3570k@4.4ghz and i SOMETIMES (not always) get solid adaptive vsync'd 60 fps on Ultra Preset (this usually happens in the beginning of Paracel Storm 64/conquest large. Then, after the storm starts, the framerate drops to 45-50s near the radiotower. Yes, this means LOTS of stutter and other sad things. This can be fixed by turning off AA completely but then the game becomes a jaggy fest. So I don't know what to do. Upgrading to win8 is an option but I need to be sure I'll get at least 15fps gain from that...

90fps? You are eather playing in 1280x720 or you have not really 90fps.

Funny enough, I just happened to be running FRAPS as I started a 64-player match and I was definitely getting about 90fps with a GTX670(MSI Power Edition OC). I'm not all on Ultra, but this is still a big improvement over the last time I played, where I was getting 65-70fps with the same settings. I don't know if it was just the map or what, but I was quite shocked to see the figures I was getting.

EDIT: Oh yea, Windows 7 here. :)

For my fellow 6870 users out there, I am getting a solid 50-60 fps on a mix between medium and high without AA.

This is with a 4670k and 8gb ram for reference, much more playable than I thought, I was worried I would have to upgrade my GPU for this game.

What driver? I just got the game and was worried since the beta ran like complete shit. So far so good, but I just played a match then had massive drops from 60 down to 22 fps. Maybe I had another task running in the background as it didn't seem normal.

Also, is that in MP?

That is with the 13.15 driver in multiplayer yes, although I haven't played a game in a couple days so things may have changed since then.

I haven't had any noticeable drops in framerate, at least to my eye, it is at least consistently smooth.

I had the same CPU as you when I ran the beta and it did run quite poorly as you mentioned, so I do wonder how much of the load the CPU is carrying.

Hey guys, I got a new graphics card an r9 290 with 4Gb ram. I can play this game at 1080p with everything set to ultra.

I enjoy spotting for my team and attempt long distance headshots. I noticed bf4 has a lot of z-fighting. Is there any way to fix this? Its only really an issue in MP.

Just got this game. Playing it on High on a NVidia 6600 2GB, 8 Gigs of RAM. Tried running at Ultra, but the FPS was to low for comfort (like 44 I think.). I did stop down sampling, might try to turn that back on and see if I can get it to run well while down sampling.

Fun game. Any tweaks to get it running better yet?

Hey guys, I just return to the PC master race :P and am waiting till after my finals before I build my PC. I was wondering if anyone had a similar build to mine, if so could to tell me what your FPS and settings youre running?

Going from Win 7 to Win 8 removed the stutter I had. My framerate was still high on Win 7, but with very annoying stutters.

This seems to confirm it:

Under Windows 7, we experienced choppiness as we played. This was felt both in the "Test Range" map, and in multiplayer gaming sessions.
The choppiness was more pronounced on the GeForce GTX 780. We could get on a straight path, in the "Test Range" and move down a straight road.
As we did this, there would be a pause, or chop, in the frames randomly. It was like the game was hitching for no reason. This happened more on the GTX 780. This is under Windows 7.

IMO the fps increase alone is too small to justify upgrading, but definitely worth it to get rid of stutter.

So could I play on highest settings (that would be Ultra, right?) with this rig? 60 fps is no must. 35-45 is fine.

I was wanting to get this, but I'm hearing the stuttering is back? FFS DICE... I just want to know: has this already "officially" been fixed by DICE?
