Conquest is broken, I've tried numerous times to get in and have been unable to.

I did play some obliteration though and it was pretty solid and without much lag.

Kinda regretting buying this game =/

All other modes work just fine on PS4, the issues seem to be no Conquest servers, parties, and single player save file corruption. Just lone wolf it for now. Give Domination and Obliteration a try, they're a ton of fun.

I've been watching streams of bf4 and the medpacks being thrown on ground sometimes slide and then go under the map. Is this common on all consoles and PC as well?

I've had the game on 360 since launch and played a bit of the PC beta but decided to wait for it on next-gen before diving in.

Server browser seems broken and the only way I seemed to get into a game was through Quick Match. Conquest seems broken at the moment.

Accessing the Share feature or XMB locks up BF4. Seems that it has the controller not respond in game at all after using those features when I tried to share a video. This then forced me to wait and get booted from my first game, which sucked.

Also, DICE, WTF, why did you remove the leaderboards button. I don't want to be in Battlelog just to see how the game is going. Also, where the hell is the Squad setup before matchmaking. Why are we going backwards. Hopefully this stuff is patched soon, especial with the China Rising maps coming out in a few weeks.

Has anyone experienced the "Connection to EA servers lost" error when selecting Multiplayer from the main menu? I never got the option to log in to my Origin account. Also I can't associate my PSN account with my Origin account from my PC either. I called EA but they just gave me a standard "we're having issues" response.

Check this out, the only way I was able to get past the error I was getting at the main menu was to sign out of PSN, then sign back in after I launched the game. I was still getting the error after I have re-installed the game form the disc and that fixed it. Dice did some fine QA testing.

It's really unfortunate, because the multiplayer is phenomenal (when it works) - but the lack of a party system, coupled with the server issues, game crashes, lack of conquest, etc. makes the game a really frustrating experience.

Just a jolly old time when you get 3-4 unlocks in a game just to have it completely disappear on you because the server crashes.

but it's so good though when it works. I've been playing all team deathmatch with no disconnects since other modes are broken. It is really smooth and responsive on the PS4 controller.

We need to harass them to add the squad up before a match though. That really is inexcusable.

I believe he is talking about an in-game party system. So you can go from game to game together. Having to tell everyone where to go or have them manually join your game is a hassle especially when there are server issues. Halo and Call of Duty perfected this style of playing with your friends online.

dmr's are not accurate tho so U may have just missed a few

Hold down the Options button it will bring up the leader board. Just pressing it wont work as that opens the options menu. So Hold it down and it will pop up.

Did you perhaps have your psn linked to a different older ea account account? Battlefield 4 should automatically detect what your psn associates with, but if it's from the pre-origin days and you never upgraded it to a full origin account it will throw this error. If you want to link to a new origin account, boy are you in for a ride....


I just went though this yesterday is the only reason I say it. My psn was linked to an ea account that I lost email access to (it was a college email I've graduated from 6 years ago). The ONLY way to get them to link your psn to your new origin account is a "persona transfer", and that requires speaking to a "specialist", which was about 4 hours of upfront bullshit until they finally transferred me over. If you tell them you need a specialist to do a persona transfer you'll hopefully go a lot faster than I did....

But yeah it basically made my digitally purchased ps4 copy of battlefield unplayable in a literal sense because they lock you out of so much without a good origin link between your psn and origin accounts.


Here's the kicker if this is the case for you: you will lose any dlc associated with the old ea account, and you will lose all stats and cloud save games associated with your new origin id. Fucking ea....

So it seems aside from the random server crashes while playing every game mode works fine except conquest using quick match. Server browser is borked and sometimes you can get locked out by that error code.

So I figured out a way to bypass that error code without logging in and out or deleting your save...Just smash X as fast as possible while it boots and you'll skip it

Ah, I shouldn't have made a blanket statement...I was on the PS3 with my friends, and the party system was spotty at best.

If I'm understanding that bit about Killzone right, that's a terrible response by them.

tbf people have paid $50 for a AAA game with dozens of QA testers. Not exactly asking for a lot to expect it to work out of the box imo. Not sure a PS4 beta even would have helped given the issues with the PC version as well

I have but audio seems restricted to your squad only so if your squad is a couple friends in party chat it'll be quiet

Dice please add a party matchmaking mode and fix the server browser/conquest!!!

I've only personally played like 5 matches, and outside of some lag, I had no issues at all. My brother played for like 5 hours straight and a buddy of mine on PSN played a ton of it.

Aside from Conquest not working, is it really so broken? I did have the save file corruption thing happen last night but it was before I had ever really done anything, so I don't know what I lost from it having to overwrite the save.

I can barely even get into Battlefield, much less actually play something. Yesterday I kept getting an error but it eventually started working, but now I'm getting the error again.

it worked as intended.

in BC2, the game would drop the entire party on one side, which could cause up to a +4 advantage to one side.

in BF3, the game drops you into a game and auto-balances the joining party to make sides even or close to it.
