Battlefield 6 is being revealed Summer 2025

They're really missing the boat if they can't have this ready for November. There is a huge vacuum in the market for a great military fps game. Delta Force is a mess and Cod is a writeoff at this point.

So what's the plan, release it around the time GTA 6 comes out?

Hard to be excited for a game where a fucking rocket launcher does less damage to an infantry unit than a tank.
After seeing that happen twice in battlefield 4 I just loled and uninstalled.
Rocket launchers will kill if they hit, it's splash damage that was heavily nerfed against infantry, for good reason too.

Sorry you can't play like a scrub!

Does anyone really think this has even a remote chance of being good?!

I'd love to be pleasantly surprised but being hyped for BF at this point is insane.
I played BF Labs for a weekend a few weeks ago and thought it was in the right track. I'm also following the leaks that have been coming out and it looks pretty good.

The community is concerned about things like weapon/class locking and stuff like that but the general perception is positive.

RPGs (and similar) will one shot infantry in pretty much all the titles. I used to snipe with them.
Yeah I do this all the time, don't know wtf he's talking about, gotta be a direct hit though cause the splash damage is not good for the rpg.

Edit: actually I don't think it has any splash damage

Considering the state the franchise is in. I don't think releasing it the same month as a new COD would be a good idea.

The Finals has really set a benchmark for destruction in a multiplayer FPS. Hopefully BF6 can come close to it.

I don't assume it will be good, but I have no problem holding out hope because it would be so easy for them to make a solid BF, or at least to avoid screwing it up if they would just get out of their own way.

They have multiple great entries in the series to work from. Even a mediocre, back to basics entry would be seem great at this point.

Its a video game, not real life.

I want the game to be fun, thank you. That's why ARMA and Squad exist if you want complete tedium in a video game format.
To be fair, effective explosions are the best way to flush out scrubby campers.
I just find it hilarious when a camper calls a tuber, a scrub. XD
It's literally their worst nightmare counter.

It will be better than 2042, but not by a large margin. It will be worse than every other mainline Battlefield title.
I still play 2042, I think the hate bubble it was in during the pandemic was weird, things have changed, do you know what an update is? If you get an update you get better.

Had nothing to do with it being a new console. The game was nigh unplayable for several months.
It had everything to do with being on a new console. They should have delayed it, but wanted to make launch for ps4. I agree completely it was unplayable for quite a bit. For me, it straight up crashed on ps4 over and over for a while. Without ps3 games working on ps4, the devs were stretched super thin developing for another console. It didn't get the proper bug testing, and ps4 was literally brand new the same day. It was broken on other consoles and PC as well, but again, devs were stretched thin, and they forced themselves to get it out of the gate to try to take advantage of the new console release and it being holidays.

It would be great if it didn't require Origin / EA Play this time.
Just buy it on steam and don't need a separate launcher.

In the era of remasters and rehashing old IP I'm still shocked they haven't revisited the charm and personality of Bad Company.

Either via proper remaster/remake of the first 2 games or a new one altogether.

(And no, putting BC2 maps in 2042 doesn't count)

As with all BF games, I won't touch it until it's had at least 6mths worth of patches to sort out the launch day shit show that they always have been.

So, you'd know it's in good shape then.
No it isnt. Development has been troubled with no cohesive direction due to opposing design goals and internal power struggles. There have also been many technical problems. Bookmark this thread to come back to when the game releases and doesnt live up to even BFV, much less titles like BF3 and BFOne.
