Battlefield Hardline |OT| Battlefield FIVE-O

Played the Prologue and half of Episode 1, didn't realise how much it's leaning into the cop show aesthetic before playing the trial. Arrest system is pretty cool as well.

Having played Team Deathmatch now and having sucked at it as usual, I've still found it more enjoyable than Advanced Warfare(which I sucked at too)
If I didn't have so many games still to play on my Xbox I'd have bought this.
I'm impressed, it's good!

Most of the maps look great, specially for Hotwire. I already know I will love Riptide.

I also find it funny that all of the youtubers were forced to play on PS4 at the EA preview event recently, and like everyone one of them has a disclaimer saying: "I play on PC so you will see me suck in this video because of lol controllers".

Has anybody used an Xbox controller on pc?

Definitely feel free to chime in if you are from gamefaqs and you want to tell me why mouse and keyboard are better.

Maps looks cool, too bad there is only 9 at launch. BF4 launched with 10 right?

I still don't know if I'm getting premium this time.

I need decent and competent people to play on the PC side of Hardline..Add me if you want: Wolfboy203

Microphones preferred but not mandatory :-)

Finally, the protagonist speaks! Made absolutely zero sense that your guy would not talk whatsoever in the previous games.

But...BF4 looks like a gen ahead of this. :/ Thought Visceral would do a better job with the visuals.

Checked out the game on EA Access on the One.
Wow, does not look all that good graphically. They have taken steps back for sure, and it doesn't even run much better than BF4. It is pretty disappointing actually.

Playing the game itself was sad for me. I used to be good at Battlefield. Been playing it since Day 1 actually, 1942. Over the past 5 years I have played less and less BF, and I probably only played about 15 hours total of BF4 compared to 275 for BF2. I am now at the point where I suck at the game tremendously. In fact I actually feel lost in it, which is just crazy to me.
Granted a very big part of it is the fact I have historically played it on PC, so was struggling with the controller replacing a KB&M.
But even keeping that in mind, it felt like a foreign game for me. And it never has before.
Perhaps it is just this Hardline bullshit, or perhaps it is really I just suck. Not sure.
But keeping it a rental. No doubt.

This gif will probably convince a few people to buy it.

No, it's not just Hardline--I'm the same. Mostly a PC BF player and only play on console because of friends, and I SUCK.

Hardline, though, I see to do pretty well. Hotwire mode is GREAT for players who aren't yet good at FPS controls, because you can contribute and score just from driving around.

Just in case anyone doesn't know, this is $38 at BestBuy with GCU (includes $10 store certificate). I believe it will trade-in at $40 for at least a few days.

Hopefully this game has branching story paths, alternate endings, and different strategies depending upon the lethal/non-lethal option. This is a Holiday 2015/Q1 2016 purchase for me right now.

I'm not sure how EA access works, but if it's a trial it usually means you have to buy the game once the trial runs out.

Unless you bought the game, then you would be ready to go once the servers go live.
What I mean is, since I have the game preordered digitally through the Xbox store, if once the EA access trial runs out, will I be able to still play the game or will I have to again wait for it to unlock on Tuesday?

I've never actually bought a game I've trial played so I'm just curious. Would be a big plus if I can still play.

Ah, think once the 10 hours run out, you can't play the game anymore until the official release.

Anyone with experience with EA Access, please feel free to correct me.

Anyone play Teamdeathmatch yet? The spawning is absolutely horrendous on most maps. 75% of the time you spawn, you are looking at an enemy, or an enemy is looking at you.
