I"m going to juggle both lol
BFV for MP, RDR2 for SP.
So like ... it is going to take 4 months before we get the actual final product? I really love these full priced early access titles.
Well that is the nature of such MP titles, TF2, Counter Strike etc still get updated and added on to til this day, same with WoW or EverQuest.
With MP online titles, there is not concept of "final" until they basically are closing the servers.
Doesn't really apply to something like this as ironically the worst thing they could do is STOP working on it post launch. Its a on going concept, there is not "Final" or "end" or anything like that. People find glitches, people use exploits etc Trust me, if a online game could be "final" on release with NEVER being worked on, it would have already been done. Valve and many other publishers might be proving that the idea of that is actually impossible at this stage in gaming.
I mean....name 1 online game that was never worked on post launch and found amazing success never needing to ever patch or update?
Its not post launch content thats the problem, but these are modes that should be in there day 1. And actually combined Arms was talked about as being at launch at first. DICE already delayed the game, and now its missing modes like Horde mode and Rush. Lets not forget Rush has been day 1 since BFBC1. When COD can launch day 1 with a horde mode with 3 maps and a BR mode its frankly embarrasing.
Either DICE didn't have enough time to make the game, or with no season pass, and no MTX because of Star Wars BF2 backlash, it really feels like they are stringing along the content to pretend they have all this DLC. Also previews of the story mode make it sound pretty flimsy, so holding this story content back is even weaker. Add in no Rush, no horde mode, no tank customization, no BR mode, these are all things that should be on launch not add ons 2-12 months later.
I am still going to buy and play the shit out of the game. I am still playing BF1 to date and will defend that game against anyone. As a long time fan and paying customer I really feel like this is an early access game being charged full price.
After EA turned the iconic "Star Wars" into a pay2win microtransactions nightmare I've decided to stop buying any new game published by them.
I think, the enjoyment of seeing how EA losing money is exceeding the enjoyment of playing their newest games + it is sending a healthy message to the rest of the gaming industry.
If its a few modes that need to be corrected, I'd rather they still release the game and update the modes as they go on.
I have no issue what that....
COD is also launching missing a Single player mode so......yea
Its not corrected, they aren't launching at all. The game won't have rush, combined arms or BR at launch. Rush has been in every BF since BFBC 1! I don't have a problem with maps and new modes, but missing those 3 at launch is convenient with no season pass.
Speaking of releasing the game, If this was the plan I would rather they didn't delay the game so I could be playing it now. If they were going to drip feed all the modes just launch it with Operations and Conquest MP and I would be fine. The game will be full of bugs and balance issues anyways so would rather be playing it early since I have to wait 8-12 months for the actual complete game.
And COD was right to drop the single player. BR is a hit for them, they gambled on that over SP and it payed off. DICE stuck with their boring SP and previews making this one sound the blandest of them all. DICE should of rejigged the war stories into combined arms and got BR and CA along with Rush at launch.
Reviews are going to tear into BF for its lack of content. This is going to be probably one of the worst reviewed BFs. I still have my pre order, and will still play the game. Getting new content added is cool. BF1 has so much more content today as compared to launch and I still play BF1 today. But as a long time BF player I can see through what EA is doing.
Note that game content, gameplay mechanics, and other Battlefield V aspects covered in this article may change between now and the launch of the game.
Battle royale in March. The final nail in the coffin
Battlefield Currency can be used to acquire specific cosmetic items for your Company.
Battlefield Currency will not be available at launch.
I noticed a retailer listing the Deluxe edition as coming out sooner than the standard, I assumed it was a mistake. Of course the Deluxe costs more so you're paying for the privilege of playing early. This is pretty scummy and I think it's a first. Trust EA to come up with shit like this.
I'll definitely get this sjw abomination on black Friday sale in 2019...can wait!
I'm holding out for Origin Access Premium Premium Elite Premium Elite Premium where I can play a year before everybody else for the low, low price of $9999. Only from the minds at EA.
?
You are congratulating COD for removing modes yet mad at DICE for simply not having some modes just at LAUNCH? ummmm ok.
Have fun with that logic lol
"Reviews are going to tear into BF for its lack of content"
and then "COD was right to drop the single player"
lol
praised one for removing mode making the product have less content while still having paid dlc, bashed one for not having a mode at launch while giving its dlc for free.
yes they did, and no they didn't.Did they manage to turn this around? And if they did, was it really necessary to be antagonistic towards your fanbase?

Also, is the only thing "SJWish" about this game the women? Cuz, getting upset about that is kinda snowflakish. My wife is stoked she finally gets to play as a girl in a battlefield game.

Launch trailer
I so can't wait to not buy this game. I would watch a WW2 CG movie from them though.
