I am very glad I finally bought that game on Origin.
It looks great (any game on Frostbite looks great in fact).
You can play SP and progress your MP company and move on with your career.
SP modes are very fun and with high factor of replayability.
Leveling up your company and guns is really satisfactory.
I don't care much about SP campaign, but I played the first one chapter in North Africa and it was pure fun. I will never forget when they started singing during the Germans attack.

What do you think about that game?

And yeah, I don't care at this point about historical accuracy or stupid face paints you can buy for 10$ :D

I don't get how anyone could enjoy it, I thought it was terrible. Maps and gameplay was meh. God awful art direction and somehow worse graphics than BF1. Some of the ugliest and most unintuitive menus I've seen in a game.
4/10.

Haven't like any of this gen's BF games.

I like the scope, the 60 fps feel, vehicles etc....

But the lobbies suck and freeze, the UI is terrible, and there's something about getting killed which doesn't seem right (unless they fixed it). It Call of Duty, if you get blasted by 3 bullets, the replay shows you got blasted by a stream of bullets.

In BF games, it seems like you get shot by 2 bullets and die with little time to react and try moving out of the way, but then you watch a replay and it seems (with it's weird way of showing a kill cam), the guy actually shot you with probably double the number of bullets as you thought.

And as usual, way too many snipers.

The old BFBC games on 360 had a clunky feel to them as they ran at somewhere around 25-30 fps, but the game seemed more fair how you got killed.

The game has been out for more than a year at this point and there are still countless gamebreaking bugs.

Things like infinite death loops, spawning in vehicles breaking, hit registration issues, hell they recently put the wrong damage model for one of the plane rocket specs and now small fighters are annihilating heavy tanks every 20 seconds.

The game is still in a beta like state.

I thought the open beta was ok but I'm glad I didn't buy it. Going through BFV subreddit makes it seem that weapon balance changes have been a complete mess.

I have mixed feelings in this game, on the one hand I like the OST and the cinematic feeling of the multiplayer (Narvik), it feels like in the movie Saving private Ryan.

On the other hand, I detest the form of multiplayer search filters, the incoherent and stupid form of tell historical events (Fornite style or similar).

But what I hate the most is that there are elements that are not forgiven (How can a German Soldier be in a plane where there are Americans or Afro-Americans in German suits?) And I say this without being racist or anything similar.

If just the game weren't filled with their Swedish political propaganda it would've been better

I love Battlefield as a franchise. Between BF4, BF1 and BFV, I've probably put in over 2000 hours. I think BFV is better than BF1 but not quite as good as BF4 was at the end of its life.

Art direction and aesthetics aside, people's opinions on which BF is best will vary widely depending on what kind of gunplay they tend to like. The exception seems to be Bad Company 2 which is almost universally regarded as the best in the series.

Used to be a big BFV hater. Their interaction with their fans sickened me most of all. Also lacklustre maps for the way too long. Now with new maps I can enjoy it quite a lot. It's a pretty good game now. Three things still make it a love/hate relationship.

*Way too many TTK changes. I preferred it before they switched it back again now, but totally understand people being pissed about such a major change.
*Politics and feminism everywhere and treating your fans like shit/insulting them.
*Agree that BF1 graphics was better/more consistent. Animations are much better in BF1.

They really nailed netcode better than any previous BF game. That is one heck of a big plus.

Maps weren't that great
They changed operations and made it worse
Content release schedule was bad
They kept messing with TTK

Usually when a BF game comes out I'll play it casually until the next one comes out. I haven't played BFV since the first month other then briefly popping in when they added a new map.

why Bad Company 2 is the best of the saga?

i never play it before.

It's a hard thing to pinpoint. BC2 had lots of problems like any Battlefield game. Without going into it too much, I think the difference is that BC2 felt fun moment to moment even if you weren't good at the game. Simply running or driving around with your buddies felt fun. The current games have felt increasingly laborious and complex. Think about the long animations for getting into tanks and getting out. Long animations for revives and repairing. These additions are more realistic but they aren't more fun.

Bad Company was simpler and less realistic but the gameplay just felt better to a lot of people.

Thank you for your opinions.
Looks like overwhelmingly the game in perceived as bad or at best mediocre.
I still enjoy it. And that is why games are created for after all ;).

The biggest problem is customisation and unlockables.
The foundation is good, balancing became iffy, but gameplay is solid.

The problem is that they should've added all the kinds of unlockables they intended originally.

Yes, it's good and perfectly fine for casual play. I bet half the voters have only played the beta and are just jumping on the hate bandwagon.

But ultimately BF is more fun with more vehicles so hopefully they are going back to a modern setting next game.

Work up the timeline, give us Vietnam!!!

It's not bad. I started playing it for the first time two months ago and did enjoy the multiplayer for a good while. Single player I didn't bother with, and generally I am done with the game at this point.

BF1? Loved it. BFV? Pretty terrible. Setting aside all the historical accuracy stuff, it just plays like shit. Not a fan of the changes they made.

Game is glitchy. Its frustrating quite often. The menus are bad. The character design is honestly insulting.

But the gameplay is fun as hell. And there were few modern WW2 shooters out when the game launched.

I have over 200 hours in the game. And I'll most likely be back for more after they finish all their planned updates.
I'm not sure what people wanted from the game. Its an arcadey shooter. And I think it did a good job at being that. They just made really stupid choices along the way.

When the game first came out I was liking it. But it just fell apart. The little issue I overlooked became bigger and bigger issues.

There are a number if things in this game I liked. But I cant go back to it. Ill go and replay BF1, BF4, BC2 but BFV is just..empty.

Dice really needs to sit down and really plan their next title but given EA will be pushing to get this game out to meet some financial marker I don't have a lot of faith in it. Would love to be proven wrong.

first came out, it was great, well the beta was, the only thing that was shit was the 1 frame deaths, thats all that needed sorting, now theyve completely changed the core of the game, and its a casual piece of shit

just give me a BFBC2 VR remaster, and ill be happy

There are better BF games but I like this one just fine. A lot of the negativity seemed to surround a lot of sjw stuff or people hating anything with the EA brand on it. I don't even recall the specifics but I can't recall what people mechanically hated so much about that game but it didn't seem to be much gameplay facing. It just felt like more Battlefield to me.

It isn't close to the unmitigated disaster people frame it out to be.

I enjoyed it. The SP campaign was okay. The multiplayer was the best part. I only played assault class. I found that the other classes were too weak and not fun to play. Once I maxed the assault class I got bored and dropped it
