Baylor wide receiver Chris Platt indicated on Twitter that the Bears are wearing black uniforms for Saturday's home game against TCU to protest the firing of former coach Art Briles.

For those unaware, Baylor University has been involved in a series of incidents involving rape and football players. The culture of the team and university fostered an atmosphere where rape was not only not discouraged, but all but ignored and allowed to occur. Systems for covering it up were set up by both the coaches and school administration so football players could continue to play and earn them revenue.

Coach Art Briles, their former head coach, was fired for his inaction and to "make a statement" and yet, not even four months later, here we are with both players and fans trying to bring Art Briles back as if he didn't make countless young women suffer due to his actions.

The university and the football program have learned, nothing, and need to be punished appropriately.

Baylor football has to die.

If Penn State is to be any example, Baylor will not learn and will double down unless school or NCAA stays firm or comes down harder.

1.Remove the entire administration in charge of baylor
2.Fine the school a 7 figure sum
3.Death Penalty for football program for 1 year
4.Pay significant sums of money to each of the victims

Follow these steps and this shit will never happen again. Only punishing the football program sends the wrong message, the schools are the ones in charge of the damn program. They are the one's hiring pieces of garbage like Briles and Sandusky. Im sick of people defending universities as if they are some helpless victims here.

Baylor should have their federal funding pulled. They clearly violated Title IX multiple times and they still don't give a shit about it.

Trash university, trash program, trash fans.

But nothing will happen because the feds don't have the balls to do it.

The problem is unfortunately the NCAA can't really do anything as it wasn't athletic/academic related due to how the rules are written (which is why all the Penn St penalties got overturned).

The only thing that can happen to them is from the Federal Government for violating Title IX.

The administration has alread been completely turned over. That's part of the problem.

Death Penalty for Baylor Football.

If NCAA doesn't do it they are even more trash than is already apparent.

"Bu....but..but...they're #17 in the rankings! They'll be able to play a bowl game of some kind this year."

Baylor has been taking in questionable athletes in for decades. Art Briles was the convenient scapegoat for terrible administrations of decades.

Thing is these guys know they're lying. These guys have actually witnessed these crimes happen. I'd wager some of them have either participated or stood by while it occurred. What they are saying here and what their gambit is, is that Baylor football is bigger than truth or ethics or crime. And they can do this because parents, alumni, local media and law enforcement and a lot of the faculty, believe that too.

Tens of thousands of people in this town and others are complicit in thinking rape is a small price to pay for football.

I can't wait until Baylor football descends back down to their rightful place right next to Kansas as a Big XII doormat.
