Soooo this is still a work in progress but check out my clothing line catering to the Beard lovers out there.... The logo was inspired by the classic Skull and crossbones design. I must say some of my models have some pretty wicked beards! Looking for more models too so if interested shoot me a PM.

Hey man, I LOVE both the white and the black. How do they fit on the upper arms? I'm 5 9, 170 but have bigger bis/tris. Thanks!!

Ps. Im going to take a wild guess and say that you're Irish.
Is your name Shane by the way? Mine is.
The name's correct, but I'm from/in Australia :) Dad is Latvian though, so that's where the red hair comes from. I think I could pull off Irish though, if my "Irish" didn't devolve into pirate 90% of the time.

Lol my bad. Shane is an Irish name and when I saw that beard I though you were for sure. I was way off lol.

Well then. Doesn't really work out.

Looks shitty, doesn't it? Think I should get rid of the mustache? Or the goatee too?

I would honestly suggest getting a much shorter haircut first.

That's what they said in the men's hair thread too. Oh well. Usually, I comb them a bit more over my forehead, which doesn't even look that bad. But I do think about shaving my head from time to time. I'm not too fond of that idea, though.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I need some advice.

I've got little facial hair, except for my sideburns. Now, I've been growing them out for a couple of years now, and I like 'em. People always compliment me on them, telling me it suits me, etc... There's one thing that keeps bothering me though. My right side is less grown out than the left side. Left is one big, dark stripe down the side of my face. The right one isn't as dark right where the sideburn levels with my ear lobe. It's so much lighter that it makes me insecure. The bottom of that side burn is dark enough. Basically, there's this noticably lighter part in my right sideburn.

Now, I've been going back and forth in my head if I should shorten them, hoping the right one grows out well enough that there is no longer a discernible difference between the two.

What's holding me back is that I will feel even more insecure when I'd shorten them. I'd feel naked.

Any tips, beard GAF? I've heard different things. Many say shaving facial hair to make it come back thicker is a myth, others say it works.

Can anyone recommend a good balm, soap and brush/comb to use?

I’ve tried Amish Beard balm, and it was okay… I am sure there are better products out there.

Thanks!

So Beard-GAF I had double spinal surgery of my Thoracic Spine due to Spinal Stenosis

I was this before surgery:

June 9th after surgery:

Less than a month later, my folicilesticles have entered beast mode stage again:

For those wondering surgery leaves me a nice huge scar...

Lost 140lbs so far

Jesus, I just looked up what spinal stenosis was. Glad the surgery hasn't affected your ability to grow a beard, you are indeed looking beastly! Hope your recovery treats you well :)

So I don't live near a major city, and I want to find a Barber that won't fuck up my beard. I haven't touched it in a few months and it's close to where I want it to be length wise.

I have a general idea of what I want but how do I make sure that a Barber can kinda figure it out. I'm going back home in a few weeks and a friend got a recommendation from a stylist and another Barber about this one shop.

Part of their reasoning was that he has a beard and sells beard products. There are no reviews of his shop online and just some star ratings on his Facebook page.

Do I more or less just have to hope for the best when it comes to getting a beard trimmed/shaped?

yeah pretty much, I mean worst case scenario is they fuck up and then you just have to grow it back just like a bad haircut

So last weekend I went to the Slayer concert and was literally beard groped 5 times from diffeent ladies, and only 2 had asked for permission HA

My advice would be don't trust anyone with touching your beard except yourself! Went to a barber once to get it "tidied up" and shaped a bit, and it ended up half the length. Took a while to regrow :(

Go in for a haircut first, talk to him and get a feel for what he might do/tell him what you're interested in. Make sure you tell him what you want rather than leaving him to decide.

If worst comes to worst, it'll set you back a bit.

I keep going in to mine, asking for something to be done (making sure he knows I want the length to stay) and if it doesn't come out to my liking make a note to be more specific next time.

Ideally I'd do it myself, but I don't trust myself not to fuck it up.

The bigger the stache the better.
Feels wierd. I've never let it overgrow my lip and if I were to trim it up to my lip it woukd still look goofy like a big paintbrush sticking out. I usseually trim it back to 3/8 of an inch. Just gonna keeo it going for a bit to see where this ends up

Lads, I know nothing about stubble/beard growing, but how many MM of growth/trimming would you say this is? Last time I even attempted to trim down to something in this range, it fucked up and came out patchy so I shaved it all off.

First full beard attempt ever. I have had a stache/patch, or goatee forever, but never full face.

Sides are thinner than my stache/goat, but letting it just fill in is working, I think.

(Shitty quality pic but the light was blah.)

Love the shirt, do you think you will be doing some sizes for us more full figured beardsman? lol. 6"4" & 280lbs doesn't fit in an XL very well.

So, this seems to be a better place to ask this question rather than making a new thread. I decided that, since I currently am not working, now would be the best time to try and see how my facial hair grows in if it's not being shaved. Coming up tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I shaved, the longest I've ever gone without shaving. My concerns lie in the fact that I'm sporting the definition of a neckbeard right now, with extremely patchy spots above my jawline. I know a lot of people can't grow facial hair, and I'm fine with having to shave, but my question to you is should I just shave it or try to wait it out and see if it grows in? Everything I can see online concerning beard advice has people with pretty defined whiskers and thicker growth around two or three weeks, with what I'd call a beard by the end of a month.

I also am not getting any "itch" like everyone who has a beard says will happen, maybe cause my hair is just too thin?

Well different hairs grown in at different rates, so they say that you won't know what you're working with until you let it grow at least 2-3 months.

Ugh. Can't stand that my beard grows well while my moustache doesn't. Here's a recent photo of me after having grown the stache out without trimming for a few months. There's nothing substantial and it's extremely thin. The second photo is after I trimmed it down a bit so it didn't look as raunchy.

Is there any hope for me to be able to get a nice, full stache? I want one that covers the upper lip, in true Nick Offerman fashion.

Also is there anything I can do about the beard hairs? They're very curly and tangly right now, wish they were a bit more straight. Combing them does nothing, as expected.

Also also, is there anything I can do about the large empty spaces under my lips? They look like trash. I'm presuming nothing can be done.
