Just had a Narragansett for the second time, officially my favorite beer.

I was buying my variety of beer last night for the weekend sports and I saw PBR in glass bottles. A part of me just wanted to beat hipsters for creating a market for that and taking up space for good beer. I mean WTF, it tastes like shit, you really need to have it in bottles!
What next Natty Light, Milwaukee Best, and Keystone Light in special collectors bottles? At least people got that in college since they were broke and you could drink a ton of them.
So onto my beer buying report. I tend to generally grab 2-3 bottles I've tried before and 2-3 I haven't yet. Occasionally I'll just buy one type.
I grabbed one of those Brooklyn Chocolate Lagers, just because it was beer and Chocolate. It was pretty good.
I tried Raison d'etre from Dog Fish Head, which was just too damn heavy for me.
I also grabbed Ashai (why I have no clue since I thought it was dry last time, but I think I wanted to give another try) and a Heineken Light.
I also got something called American Steam Head. No clue on that at all.
I'm getting some Thai Food tonight so I might get some Changs.
So any comments on my hipster rage or beer buying choices?

PBR is definitely better than Bud Light and that's in bottles too...I would only buy it in cans though, because its number one asset is its price.
Bought a 6 pack of the Stone IPA today, it's fantastic. I was disappointed that the store didn't have the Brooklyn Pennant Ale, but I thought I'd gamble with an IPA.
Much brighter taste than I expected, the bitterness isn't so overpowering. Makes me want to try out more IPAs

Just enjoyed this number with my pizza this evening (Rogue Juniper Pale Ale).
Great pale ale. Very crisp and refreshing and I would never have guessed it contained juniper without seeing it on the bottle. There is definitely a flavor and aroma other than hops, but I would have never placed it as juniper. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I have beer incorperated into my Gaf-Photography assignment, and picked up a few beers to suplement my current stock. Nabbed a Duvel, and a Heavy Seas Great Pumpkin Ale. According to the beer lady, the Heavy Seas is much pumpkiner than the DFH Punkin' Ale, which suits me fine.
I'll likely be consuming the Duvel, some sort of Stout (Tempted to pick up a World Wide Stout), and either (both DFH) My Antonia or Bitches Brew. Might add in a Flying Dog Raging Bitch (which is one of my favoritest beers)

Tooooo much beer! Good & bad. Last was a Sierra Nevada Autumn Tumbler. Soooo good. lots of bud light before hand. meh. But what a tasty beer to end on. Hooray!now to wait for my pzzas! (yes plural)

Left Hand Brewing's Milk Stout
I was a bit worried that it would be too milky or too sweet, but it has a really balanced flavor. I'm on my first bottle (12 oz.), but I'm really enjoying it. It's definitely better than some of the other stouts I've tried recently.

Spent the past week or so going through some homemade beer a coworker made. Probably was closest to a pale ale, full flavor. Very tasty

At my favorite bar in the world the only thing I buy is Budweiser if not well vodka. I've come to realize that I far prefer Bud to PBR. PBR is like when you make Kool-Aid with only half the amount of sugar suggested. It tastes half-way towards Kool-Aid but that is somehow worse than plain ol water.
Budweiser and Coor's light are water and PBR is the weak Kool-aid.
<3 the Oregon microbrew love in here. I live less than a ten minute walk from Widmer's brewery/Gasthaus, and Rogue is less than a 5min drive away. Fun times. I think Deschute's might make my favorite Oregon beer: Black Butte Porter. Mmmmhmmm.

Tonight it's some Empyrean Brewing Co. Dark Side Vanilla Porter out of Nebraska. Not for everyone as it does taste like some vanilla extract was involved, but I'm a fan. Even though I've sampled some of the best stuff out there I'm not too terribly picky with my craft beers when it comes down to it.
After that maybe some Goose Island Pere Jacques. Love that beer.

You tried Sink the Bismark? It's prohibitively expensive in the States, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't find it if I tried.
I really want to try it though. Just out of morbid curiosity.

Just finished brewing a Chai Brown Ale. The smell is amazing. I can't wait to try and post pictures. Only 4-6 weeks!

My neighborhood pub (Latona Pub in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle) updates their taplist regularly on Facebook. Here's what they've got today.

I remember I was at a beerfestival pretty drunk and tasted a Belgium beer called Druvel. I wrote down on my phone how awesome and perfect it was.
However, it costs around 8.5$ dollars for one 33 ml bottle, so I thought I should check with you guys before wasting money and experience the awesomeness in a sober state.

It's really good beer, but I would never pay $8.5 for it. Maybe because i live quite close to Belgium and it's 1.50 - 2.00 on the supermarket I've never heard of half the shit in this thread. I'm sure it's all delicious.

Nice! A fellow Seattleite. I haven't visited many pubs around here, so I'll have to check out Latona Pub. I live in North Seattle, so Greenlake isn't too far away.
Nice to see that they have Pumking on tap. I got a bottle of that for around $6 at Central Market in Shoreline about a week ago and it was the best Pumpkin Ale I've ever had. They ran out of stock apparently, because it was gone the next time I checked.
Do you have any recommendations for stores in the Seattle area that have large beer selections?
