Brown gets real for Bravo series
Bravo has greenlighted "Being Bobby Brown," an unscripted series about the troubled pop star. The cable network had been in negotiations with Brown's production company, Brownhouze Entertainment, and B2 Entertainment, in recent months to put the series on air (HR 8/27). Ten one-hour episodes were ordered in anticipation of airing "Brown" in the second quarter of next year. The series will chronicle Brown's efforts to clean up his life after his numerous run-ins with the law. Also appearing in the documentary are Brown's wife, singer Whitney Houston, as well as his children from their marriage and previous relationships. Brown's brother Tommy, his personal manager, also is in the series. (Andrew Wallenstein)
