BEST
HEROES:
Blade
Blade081111.jpg

Borderline sociopath. Love how antisocial and awkward he is in the first movie.
Elisa Maza
Elisa_Maza.jpg

Realistic but fun. Twist on the April O'Neil character.
Black Dynamite
Black-Dynamite_still-1.jpg

Unapologetically mean. And delights in the chaos he causes.
VILLAINS:
Simon Phoenix
pcxnzhrbwvba8f6aoxez.jpg

Complete Joker ripoff. Fun as hell.
Baxter Stockman (2003 version)

No matter how fucked up he gets he just stays so arrogant and full of himself. Keeps shitting on Shredder to his face.
Doro

A 4 thousand y/o bodyless formless "presence". A reoccuring enemy in Octavia Butlers novels. He lethally possesses people. Like the demon in the movie Fallen. Really chilling in his portrayal of how he just uses people and throws them away. To cross a river he just posesses someone on the other side. That they're killed in the process means nothing.
Antwon Mitchell

Most of the criminals in the show get outsmarted pretty easily. Nice to see one that can go toe-to-toe with the Strike Team.
Marlo Stanfield/Snoop

Just easy to hate.
Lil Ze

Scariest gangster put to screen.
WORST
HEROES:

John Stewart (DCAU)
JohnStewart(DCAU).jpg

Just has too little personality.
Black Panther (various cartoon versions)
latest

Stoic and arrogant isn't very entertaining.
Ruby Rhod
slqurJqzfUcl.jpg

This could be all loud, effeminate, black, punching bag sidekicks but he's the first that comes to mind.
Falcon
Captain-America-The-Winter-Soldier-Falcon-Outfit.jpg

Literally drops his life to help Cap and again no personality.

VILLAINS:
Stringer Bell
stringer-bell-with-mug.jpg

Fake. Phony. Snitch. Pretend intellectual. All those fucking books in your house you didn't even read.
Manta (various cartoons)
Black_Manta_Trapped_in_Time_001.jpg

No great motivation. No quirk. No personality.

If you got some, whether they're inspirational, shameful, stereotypes or they just rub you the wrong way, from any medium, post em!

I'm sorry, but what a shitty list that is. How you gonna diss Black Panther like that? Jon Stewart? Stringer Bell? Nah, man. Nah.

Its stupid to judge comic book characters jusr from their screen appearance.

Black Manta is more than just one aquaman movie.

Falcon flying was one of the best parts of winter solider. And how can you forget Aqualad from young justice. He was awesome in season 2

Elisa was black?

Elisa had originally been designed as an Hispanic woman with the surname of Chavez. When Salli Richardson was cast as Elisa's voice actor, the character's race and ethnicity was adapted to match hers. Elisa became half-African American and half-Native American, which suited the show's allegory of human intolerance for gargoyles representing racial prejudice. Her last name was changed to Maza, which the creators believed to be a Sioux word for "iron", and which suited the character's strong will. The name Chavez was later used for Elisa's police captain.

I'm not sure if this says more about Aquaman than the character itself, but Aqualad felt like how you would write a way cooler Aquaman.

Ruby Rhod is a fucking gem, that list is garbage.

Black Excellence Month

Black mom and Native dad

There are episodes that specifically dig into both sides of her family.

Even touched on sensitive topics like pride/shame in racial identity.
Pretty cool. And just one of the reasons Gargoyles was such a great show.

man it's been so long. she's a good pick though. great show indeed.
