Haywire is what came to mind almost immediately. The lack of music, jump cuts and a steady cam make it entirely believable.

I'd go with Cynthia Rothrock, but I'd have to scour childhood memories for actual scenes to post.

More recently, May in s2 of Agents of SHIELD had some pretty great fights.

Nice to see Yukari Oshima and Cynthia Rothrock mentioned in here. I'll be honest and say I was never really much of a Rothrock fan until I saw her in the HK movies she did where she's brilliant and much more effective than that STV dreck she did.

Another action star I'll mention is the awesome Cynthia Khan, especially In The Line Of Duty IV (also had Donnie Yen in it)

Total guilty pleasure but I got a kick out of some of the creative fight scenes in the Charlie's Angels movies. Sue me.

They don't get much more badass than Lady Snowblood

The Chanbara scene still alive then? Haven't really seen much since the VHS days.

I recommend Yukari Oshima in general

Look, look at that fight, the movements of the actors, the ferocity in the blows(not all you see weak ass play happen with the vase for example) and it's all better than Civil War.

You can never go wrong with Pei-Pei Cheng btw. So many movies that don't exist in proper format from her early time it's sad :/

Anita Mui is one that should have gotten more time in the spotlight. Her supporting roles, while funny never really got the time to show off.

Dang, I forgot Qiu Yuen(landlady from Kung Fu Hustle) which I'm going to watch now had a pretty good scene in Dragon's Claw and Dragon's Snakefist

Quite a few have already said 'Kill Bill' The Bride Vs. O-Ren (Showdown at the House of Blue Leaves).

But I will go for Beatrix Kiddo Vs Elle Driver (Trailer Showdown) Part 1, Part 2.

Tsui Hark's "Peking Opera Blues" showcases some great fight scenes from its female actors Sally Yeh and *swoon* Brigitte Lin Ching-hsia. Is available on Youtube.

Sense8, any fight with Doona Bae. There are like 3-4 of them. Here is one.

This film had the gall to crack a joke at Fast and the Furious for being dumb and then pull shit like this.
Torque is a joke, it's meant to be a parody of those kind of films. The director, Joseph Kahn, had a great podcast with Slashfilm about what they were trying to do.
