Jeeja Yanin has been criminally wasted in action movies.
She had barely anything to do in The Protector 2 (which was also a piece of shit movie beyond that).
I'd suggest watching this (Chocolate) as well as Raging Phoenix, not nearly as good, but she does some good stunts in that one.

Been looking up fight scenes for something I'm animating and, in revisiting Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, I forgot how amazing this fight scene between Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Ziti is.

I don't want to gif the actual fight, because it's too good for that. But seeing this scene again also reminded me how rarely proper fight scene are done with women, much less multiple women without a man in sight.

So, what are some of your favorite action scenes involving badass ladies? Doesn't need to exclusively have females, but it should at least have most of the focus on them.

Gotta +1 this. The immediate scene that came to mind of all the movies I've seen, and I've seen more than a few. Just brilliant.

This fight is straight up one of the GOAT fights put to film and quite possibly the best weapon combat scene ever made.

It was until they made Hero

This is a great film. I watched it two or three times when I had Amazon prime.

One thing I liked about it was that she is actually quick. If you watch some movies like Kill Bill, which I love, is that the actor is slow. I mean the punches and kicks are not very quick and it makes them too telegraphed which takes away some of the action of the movie. Of course, all of these movies are coreographed I know, but for me it just makes it more exciting and mesmerizing to watch that speed and flow of movement. Chocolate has its moments, although it isn't perfect.

Most Hollywood actors aren't great fighters...

Uma Thurman is six feet tall and most likely less mobile than the lady in Chocolate.
