Gin and Tonic. Why mess with perfection?
This is called Apple Pie (because that's what it tastes like) and you can buy pre-made stuff in jars in a liquor store from a couple different brands at around 30-40% alcohol content, but yeah, normally it is made with 75% or 95% (!!) Everclear in which case it is really dangerous because the apple masks any flavor from the alcohol (which is not much to begin with) and will intoxicate you VERY fast.
Delicious and dangerous. Careful with that stuff.

Surprisingly I never had one. I should fix that.
Unless you live somewhere warm, do yourself a favour and wait for the summer. Nothing quite like a tasty, tasty G&T on a hot summer's day.
Jameson and Ginger Ale is my go to drink. White Russians are also tasty.

Dark & Stormy, whiskey sour, grateful dead, white russian...
Now I want a drink...
It's almost always a good day to have some gin and tonic where I am then
Lately I've been ordering Sidecars everywhere I go. It's a classic drink from the 20's, but it's quickly become my favorite cocktail. I now measure every bar by how they make this drink.

One time I was at a party at a nice bar with the company I was working for at the time.
Everyone was talking about this one drink, which was $30 a pop.
This was it:
I guess it's kind of a girly drink, but I had to try the $30 drink since it was on the company's dime, er, 30 dollars.
It's called a "Fish Bowl" for obvious reasons.
I had a bartender make me his take on an Old Fashioned where he muddled some orange and cherry and used enough bitters to saturate a single sugar cube. It was amazing and I've been trying to reproduce it ever since with no success.
Good Cocktails seems to have pictures with its recipes, along with some, uh, very interesting drink names that I'd never heard of. I can't vouch for their recipes but they look pretty standard.
Heh, I forgot that Everclear is illegal to buy in several states. I always took it for granted seeing it in liquor stores in Arizona, though I've never bought it myself.

That's the definition of an Old Fashioned...
Negroni is the single greatest cocktail, though I am very partial to a Hemingway.
I'm not a fan of shots or sweet/fruity drinks. I tend to keep them pretty simple. A few of my favorites:
- Martini
- Manhattan
- Old Fashioned
- Sazerac
- Negroni
- Gimlet
- The Last Word
- Bloody Mary
- French 75
- G&T
- Michelada
Awesome! Oh what are some good drinks to make with butterscoth schnapps? I feel like I could make something tasty with that.
A Cocksucking Cowboy (also known as a Cowboy and Butterball) is a layered shooter made from one part cold Butterscotch Schnapps with two parts of Baileys Irish Cream, making it 32 proof (16% ABV). The Baileys is poured off the back of a bar spoon so it "floats" on top of the schnapps in a shot glass. Some alternative recipes reverse the proportions, specifying 2 parts Schnapps to 1 part Irish cream.
we have very similar tastes. only been to elbo once thoughMoscow Mule at the Elbo Room.
Just a warning: There's no hangover quite as bad as a gin hangover.
Bullshit. A wine or champagne hangover is way worse. Vodka's also pretty bad. I'm actually not sure if I've ever had a gin hangover, and it's what I drink the most.
when I had a kamikaze it had grapefruit juice instead of limeKamikaze, equal parts vodka, triple sec and lime juice. My favourite drink.
Number two would be long island for out drinking and wanting to get drunk or vodka red bull
