Nocturne's main character is great. One of my favorite main characters in general but Link will always be my favorite. He was my first encounter with a silent hero and since LoZ is my favorite series, it is only fitting.

I take it this thread was started by your recent DQ VIII playing, Error? In that regard, I must say that Eight(DQ VIII's main character, named so in the demo, not on my file) is a great silent character. Although he does have sequences where he explains things, he never has any dialogue. These "explanation" sequences are ones where you could just as easily explain what happened.

You could apply that to half the character's in this thread including the one listed right at the top. Just because there aren't any voices in SMT doesn't excuse the fact that the main character does have text and interacts with people. Then again, maybe I misinterepreted this whole silent hero schtick. Carry on.

even by including that(which btw is the whole point of a silent hero) the SMT:N Hero talks a lot less than Dante, yes you misundertood this thread.

...I think what he means is that the art you posted is from Twilight Princess, and that Link doesn't travel through time. Only OoT Link does that.

Anyway, I like the hero of DQ8. Mario in SMRPG was pretty good too, most expressive mute character ever.
