All three are so awesome. I don't want to bias the poll by giving my opinion but I will say my favourite single entries from these are The Empire Strikes Back, Back to the Future 2, and Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

Look man I love all three, and if we're just voting '80s trilogies then I'm with Star Wars, but Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings is the greatest motion picture trilogy of all time.

Back to the Future is great and all but really it's only the first movie that is super strong. Indy is just 3 movies, 2 of them excellent, one merely good, but there's not much there that really makes them a trilogy. So that leaves Star Wars to take the W, because we can ignore the prequels and the Jar Jar Abrams shit.

Indiana jones - my favourite

Back to the future - the best movies

Star Wars - like catching syphilis from a stunner, was temporary ecstasy followed by too much suffering and embarrasment to make it worth while.

It came out like 20 years later.

Love LOTR but it shouldn't really be compared here. It feels too different than John Williams rocking it to the action bangers of the 80's.

If sticking with the choices provided, 1. Indy 2. BttF, and 3. SW. The latest Sw movies really killed my love of SW as too much content diluted it for me and I think it is what keeps the others on top....until that next Indy movie comes out

"And it won best picture. Something your little boy toy Lucas could never do."

Just watched the BTTF trilogy yesterday for the first time in a long time thanks to the Movies That Made Us on Netflix. The first one is pretty much a perfect movie, everything from when he takes his mom to the dance through the end is incredible.

The sequels aren't quite as good but still fun and the way they tie them all together is really clever and cool.

Not sure if I can put it above Indy though. Star wars is okay.

1. Star Wars
2. Back to the Future
3. Indiana Jones

I love Indy 1 and 2, especially 2, but crusade doesn't do much for me.

Wow. Tough vote. In the end I went for Indy.

All three are great, but IMO all Indy films are consistently great, where Star Wars and BTTF have slightly weaker third films.

I like all 3 and it's hard to chose a favorite so I go with BTTF since it is the one I watched most as a kid, followed by Indy and then Star Wars.

I can't choose. All three are a part of my soul. I am that stereotypical 80s kid who grew up with these 3 sacred trilogies when it comes to movies.

That said... Star Wars is the one I discovered last, and while I was seriously obsessed with BTTF for a while (watched 2 more times than I can count and waited for 3 like it was the second coming of Christ, only to forget about it after finally seeing it)... I became a Star Wars fan for years. SW is the only trilogy of the three that doesn't have one movie I can skip without a second thought.

Indy 1 and 3 + BTTF1 is better cinema than SW ever was, but the SW trilogy is the strongest overall methinks.

Back to the Future easily, it's a flawless trilogy

Star Wars
Lord of the Rings
Indiana Jones
Back to the Future
Xenoblade

I love em all.

X-Men soft reboot could have been up there if they had not destroyed it with Apocalypse. First Class and Days of Future Past were a amazing, no a two time lightning in a bottle revival for that franchise after X-3 and deserved a better follow up than the trash we got with Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix.

Ditto Blomkamp's Alien 3 retcon with Ridley, Newt and Hicks taking place on Earth that got scrapped in favor of fucking Prometheus.

Jury is still out on Ghostbusters until Afterlife releases, and Sherlock Holmes unless they actually make a part 3.

Never been interested in Indiana Jones so can't talk for that.

Out of Star Wars + BTTF it's Star Wars. BTTF shouldn't be a trilogy. They should've quit after the second movie.

Star wars not even close. No matter how much people shit on the newer titles. Star wars is basically legendary. When i grew up everybody wanted a light saber and that was decades after the movie came out. The movies are timeless.

Lord of the rings overstayed its welcome to being dragged out to long and absolutely shit ending where u just wondered why eagles couldn't just fly the guy into the volcano. It just didn't age well. U gotta be some real lord of the ring fan to appreciate that slog of series.

Back to the future was great don't get me wrong. But hardly as impact as star wars lets be honest here. the second and 3rd movie where also questionable quality.

indiana jones, not a big fan of it. Its a nice movie series and my dad seems to like it a lot. I don't think it aged to well at this point in time. but are decent solid adventure movies.

I love Indiana Jones but ToD is quite poor compared to the other two.

Back to the Future is ok but its not in the same category as 'Wars or 'Jones.

Star Wars wins for me though, ESB is a true classic.

1: Indy. 1 and 3 are amazing, 2 is the low point but still really enjoyable.

2: Star Wars is great too, has nicer lore but I just don't find them quite as fun to watch as the Indy movies.

3: Back to the future. 1 is great, but 2 and particularly 3 have never really done much for me.

Personally I'd go for Indy. Return Of The Jedi is pretty average and BTTF isn't really in the same league. All three Indy films are fantastic on their own way, and Raiders is arguably the most perfect adventure film ever made.

For me it's Star Wars. Groundbreaking detail in filming models to create a grand scope puts the first movie of the choices at the top of each of their counterparts. Star Wars wins.

Trying to pick between Back to the Future and Episodes 4-6 is probably the hardest decision I will make all week. My guy says Back to the Future, but my head says 4-6. Going with the gut on this one.
