Suddenly my Street Fighter: Anniversary Collection disk refuses to play on my Xbox, while every other game runs fine. All I see is a smudge though, what's the best way to get rid of it? I figure a q-tip or something cotton?

Sandpaper.

Try running the disc under a stream of hot water from the tap. Keep it there for a minute and then carefully wipe it dry from the inside going out. Once fully air-dried, try it then. IME, this seems to work on a lot of discs, XBOX or not.

I don't know why, but my Xbox games seem to work better after I wipe them with a shirt.

Soft T-shirt or glasses wiping cloth

Warm water, or a solution you can buy for the purpose. Or maybe sunglass cleaner solution.

Wipe straight out from the center of the disc, rotate a little, repeat until you've gone all the way around. Don't rub in a circular motion.

That's it.

EDIT: Or drop it into a saucepan full of boiling water for ten seconds, then dry. Seriously.

Thanks guys. Slightly damp cotton ball worked fine. It was strange the crazy sounds coming from the disk just because a couple of smudges.
