BET bans Eminem's video at Michael Jackson's request

Jackson's spokesperson, Raymone Bain says that's half true -- so far Jackson hasn't threatened to sue, but he is piping mad.

"It's untimely and, quite frankly, outrageous," said Bain of the video. ""What was Eminem thinking? Because I don't think he would want anyone to treat him that way, particularly as a father. I think he should reconsider what he's done."

Jackson is asking networks to pull Eminem's video off the airwaves. Bain tells "CJ" that, so far, only BET has agreed.

Not sure what BET is thinking. I would rather have Em, Dre, Snoop and co. happy with me than Michael Jackson. When is the last time MJ had a hit? When is the last time MJ has been relevant to music? This really makes no sense to me. It will be interesting to see Em's response. I am thinking BET is about to become a target.

Michael Jackson's(Eminem) hair catches on fire, he runs to a bathroom stall and dips his head on the toilet to put the flames out and on the way out, he stumbles upon a drunk Eminem, who sees Jackson, gets disgusted and throws up all over Jackson's face.

Later on we get shots of Michael Jackson's room where a bunch of kids are jumping on his bed while a surveillance camera on the wall tapes them. Then Jackson is at a party and his nose falls off and gets kicked around and stepped on by other people at the party.

In the end Michael Jackson is in his bed with the kids jumping around and the camera still taping them.

It's pretty funny, even though I'm the farthest thing from an Eminem fan.

It disgusts me that people find this funny and even moreso that they fail to see the innocence in the whole thing when a child is in bed with an adult. There are far bigger things to worry about.

Viacom owns MTV/MTV2, VH1/VH1 Classic, and BET. I'm not sure what pulling it off of BET accomplishes, as MTV probably gets a metric fuckton of viewers. If history's any indication, though, videos aren't pulled off of that unless they're "too hot for TV."

Is this the video for that shitty song "Just Lose It"? If so, I can't imagine it's worth sitting through that song just to watch the video. That has to be one of the worst songs on the radio today. I mean, he's not even trying anymore. PEACE.

Michael Jackson called in on Los Angeles radio station 100.3 this morning (October 12th) to voice his disapproval of the new Eminem video for his song "Just Lose It.”

In the video, Eminem plays the characters of Jackson, Madonna & MC Hammer and others.

The video shows scenes of Eminem dressed as Jackson sitting on a bed with children jumping around him.

With Jackson's recent troubles, the scenes are hitting a little too close to home for the King of Pop.

"I never had a problem with Eminem,” Jackson said during The Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Harvey also voiced his disgust with the rapper.

"Eminem has lost his ghetto pass,” Harvey declared. “We want the pass back."

Harvey said that he was is displeased at the way Eminem chose to depict the black community. He added that rappers who are afraid to say something because they don’t want to jeopardize their own careers are "cowards."

"You apologized about the comments you made before about us being ni**ers and calling black women b**ches but we don't want your apology now", Harvey fumed.

In a bombshell revelation, Harvey stated that Bob Johnson, Founder and CEO of BET has decided to pull the video from BET’s rotation and will not be playing it again.

Johnson also called the Steve Harvey morning show and confirmed the video has been pulled from the BET airwaves why he had his decision.

Johnson is expected to release a statement later today about this issue.

Harvey also stated that MTV and VH1 should follow suit and pull the video as well.

I have always thought Steve Harvey was full of shit. For a f'n comedian to say anything about someone being lampooned in a video is just weird. I know Steve has some un-dying love for MJ though. I don't know why. Tell me more about him backstabbing Bernie Mac.

Mac went off on his old mentor Steve Harvey, who got him involved with "The Kings of Comedy." The mag noted several years ago that someone representing Steve Harvey called ["Ocean's Eleven" director] Steven Soderbergh's office and asked him to reconsider the casting of Bernie Mac. The caller argued that Steve Harvey was more popular. "Man," Bernie says, "I heard about that. I was told about it. You know these people. Are you surprised? It's always about him."

Anyway you're right. Em has made his success by being controversial so, the more attention it gets the better for him, even if it means being banned from Black Entertainment Televison. I don't like the flip flop move on BET'S part. First the video is all over 106 and Park and shit, and now that Steve "my career is over" Harvey gets all offended and starts talkin shit they're like oh nos!! WTF?? Why even play the video in the first place then? And since when is Steve Harvey handing out ghetto passes? That statement would actually be damaging if it came from somebody like 50 Cent or Dr. Dre (the ones who gave him the pass in the first place) not some comedian who's name is NOT Dave Chapplle....

LOL! Steve Harvey was becoming irrelevant, so he had to preemptive strike this video to try and get some cheap heat. :lol Gimme a break, the video is one of the few redeeming qualities of the song. The song sucks. PEACE.

The song is quite retarded, the music sounds like it was composed using one of those mini Casio keyboards that has the little sample tune when you press a button, and then there's the whole "Aah aah aah aah aah" portion of the chorus that sounds equally bad.

I can see why Jackson wants it pulled. I'm suprised he still holds enough sway to get it done.. although getting it pulled only off BET is really just lip service if you ask me.

And since i know you all care what I think about this song/video. It rates highly on the meh scale. I will admit to never owning an Eminem album, but I dug the singles mostly, and the videos were good for a chuckle... but whoever was waiting for Eminem to spoof him self.. well you got your wish with this new song/video.
